The Salesian Youth Hostel with new computers

Osanna Pia is a youth hostel run by the Salesians of Don Bosco. This hostel gives shelter to socially disadvantaged young men aged between 18 and 28 years. Many of the residents either have no other home or would have had to leave their home due to family problems. Through referral by social work agencies, the residence welcomes young men who are seeking to re-integrate themselves into society.

The Salesians aim to provide a 'family type' home for these young men and assist them in their personal development. External expert advice is also sought when necessary. Residents are expected to contribute in the running of the home. Thanks to the Foundation?s donation of computer hardware and software, the residents have a chance to become computer literate, thereby enhancing their employment prospects.
