  • 1. The Vodafone Red Basic pay monthly tariff plan is offered by Vodafone Malta Limited ('we') to its new and existing customers ('you'). Vodafone reserves the right to limit the number of Red Basic monthly tariff plans offered to a single person/legal entity.
  • 2. You may subscribe to Vodafone Red Basic Plan as from the 8th April 2013. This version of the terms and conditions is applicable as from 1st June 2017.
  • 3. Vodafone Red Basic Plan (Tariff Plan) All rates and charges quoted below are inclusive of VAT but are exclusive of excise tax or any other taxes which may be applicable.
    • 3.1 Benefit from the below Bundle, upon payment of €35 each month and upon signing a 1 year agreement.
      • 3.1.1 Local usage:
        • 3.1.1.1 Unlimited minutes to all local Vodafone mobile numbers;
        • 3.1.1.2 80 minutes to all local fixed and mobile numbers on any local network;
        • 3.1.1.3 Unlimited SMSs to all local Vodafone mobile numbers
        • 3.1.1.4 80 SMSs to all mobile numbers on any local network; and
      • 3.1.2 Usage whilst abroad in EU:
        • 3.1.2.1 Free incoming calls
        • 3.1.2.2 80 minutes to Malta and EU
        • 3.1.2.3 80 SMSs to Malta and EU
      • 3.1.3 Data:
    • 3.2 If you wish to benefit from a subsidy on one of our handsets, you will be required to sign a 2 year agreement – Option 1.
    • 3.3 If you wish to benefit from a €5 monthly discount (Eco-Credit) on your monthly access fee, you will be required to sign a 2 year agreement (and not get a subsidy on a handset) – Option 2
  • 4. Rates outside Tariff Plan and Information on Charges
    • 4.1 All rates and charges quoted below are inclusive of VAT but are exclusive of excise tax or any other taxes which may be applicable. You may check/monitor your Bundle usage by sending an SMS to 16290 free of charge.

  • 5. Roaming
    All rates and charges quoted below are inclusive of VAT but are exclusive of excise tax or any other taxes which may be applicable.
    • 5.1 You will have the option to subscribe to our Vodafone Traveller tariff plan when travelling in NON-EU.
    • 5.2 Call our Customer Care on 247, send an e-mail on 247.mt@vodafone.com or visit our website on www.vodafone.com.mt to view our Vodafone Traveller Terms and Conditions.
  • 6. Administrative charges
    The following administrative charges shall apply:

    These charges cover the work involved in processing each request/payment instructions as well as any stationary costs relative thereto.
  • 7. Add-On Packs
    • 7.1 Once on this Tariff Plan, you may opt to benefit from Add-On Packs at an additional monthly fee. For more information on which Add-On Packs are available with this Tariff Plan, call 247, free of charge from your handset, visit one of our retail outlets, or visit our website.
  • 8. Disconnections, Migrations and Penalties
    • 8.1 A penalty and/or the waived cost of the subsidised handset shall apply upon disconnection and termination (prior to the expiration of your Agreement) or upon migration to another pay monthly tariff plan with a lower monthly access fee.

      Downgrades 30% of the difference in Monthly Access Fee x remaining months

      Penalty structure for 2 year tie-ins – Applicable for Options 1 & 2

    • 8.2 If you wish to terminate an Option 2 contract, a penalty of not more than €200 and not less than €50 will apply. If terminating the Option 2 contract in the last month of your contract, the applicable penalty for termination will be equivalent to your monthly access fee.
  • 9. Payment
    • 9.1 The Monthly Access Fee will be calculated on a pro rata basis according to the effective date of your Agreement and shall be charged in arrears.
    • 9.2 Payment for this Tariff Plan will be via Direct Debit Mandate.
  • 10. Renewals
  • 11. General Information on this Tariff Plan
    • 11.1 If you do not use up the allocated Bundle within any given month, the remaining minutes/SMSs/data will not be carried forward to the following month.
    • 11.2 In Office ( www.vodafone.com.mt/inoffice)will be allowed by default on this Tariff Plan.
    • 11.3 All charges deriving from these Tariff Plans are inclusive of VAT but are exclusive of excise tax.
    • 11.4 In the event that you use your mobile handset before receiving the SMS notification confirming your successful subscription to the Monthly Bundle, you shall automatically be charged according to the plan you would be subscribed to prior to this subscription.
    • 11.5 You are requested to apply for our secure e-billing service by providing us with your personal e-mail address upon subscription and you will start receiving a monthly SMS notification, informing you that your e-bill has been issued. You shall be charged a monthly administrative fee of €2 per invoice if you fail to provide us with your personal email address.
    • 11.6 If you opt to choose a mobile phone that exceeds the subsidised value, a deposit equivalent to 3 months access fee of your Tariff Plan, is required upon subscription
  • 12. General Terms and Conditions
    • 12.1 When you subscribe to this Tariff Plan, you are automatically accepting to adhere to these terms and conditions.
    • 12.2 Our general terms and conditions, our 4G Service terms and conditions, our secure e-billing terms and conditions , our after sales terms and conditions and any of our other relevant terms and conditions shall also apply.
    • 12.3 You are advised to visit our website vodafone.com.mt , call our Customer Care on 247, send us an email on # 247.mt@vodafone.com or visit one of our retail outlets or authorised dealers, to learn more about these Tariff Plans.
    • 12.4 As from 4th November 2013, our data network will be able to support 4G speeds in selected areas. 4G mobile data speeds are dependent on the network coverage as well as on your device. For further information about coverage in your area or should you have any queries about mobile data speeds, visit our website vodafone.com.mt , call our Customer Care on 247, send us an email on 247.mt@vodafone.com or visit one of our retail outlets or authorised dealers. Upon subscribing to this Tariff Plan, the 4G Service general terms and conditions shall also apply.
    • 12.5 Quality of Service: The benefits of this Tariff Plan are meant solely for individual use. If, in our reasonable opinion we deem your use as being excessive, we may ask you to moderate your usage, as this may have repercussions on the quality of the network and service levels enjoyed by our other consumers. If after we have informed you to moderate your usage, you fail to do so, we reserve the right to charge you for the excessive element of your usage at your price plan's standard rate or to suspend or terminate your service in accordance with your airtime contract. Furthermore, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate your service if you abuse of the service and/or use it in a way for which it is not intended.
    • 12.6 We reserve the right to suspend indefinitely or for a definite period, amend/alter/delete or terminate these terms and conditions at any time (collectively the 'Modifications') and for any valid commercial, technical or operational reason, by giving you a 30 day prior written notice with the proposed amendments/alterations or stating the reason for the Modifications thereof. Should you disagree with the proposed Modifications during the 30-day time-period, you shall have the right to opt-out from your Tariff Plan without incurring any penalties by informing us of your decision to this effect. You may incur penalties should you decide to opt-out after the expiration of the 30 day time-period.

    • 3.2 If you wish to benefit from a subsidy on one of our handsets, you will be required to sign a 2 year agreement. – Option 1.
    • 3.3 Those of you subscribing to this Tariff Plan from 1st April 2013 onwards may benefit from a €20 monthly discount on your monthly access fee upon signing a 2 year agreement (and not get a subsidy on a handset). – Option 2.

  • 5. Roaming

  • 6. Administrative Charges
    The following administrative charges shall apply:

  • 7. Care Pack for your Smartphone – Applicable to those of you subscribed to Option 1 (Term 3.4)
    • 7.1 You will benefit from a care pack for your device which entitles you to have your phone repaired for free or to get a replacement in case of out of warranty malfunction including screen damage and malfunction but excluding liquid damage. Theft and loss are not covered by the care pack. You are entitled for one free repair or replacement for the duration of your contract provided that you are subscribed to a 2 year agreement.
      • 7.1.1 The restoration or reinstallation of any programs and/or data on the device following the service, other than the software supplied with the device by the manufacturer at the time of purchase; and
      • 7.1.2 Any interoperability or compatibility issues that may arise when your device software or options are not supported by the manufacturer of the device are used with the device.
    • 7.2 You shall ensure that prior to the handing over the handset for service:
      • 7.2.1 you would already have removed any confidential information of a proprietary and/or personal nature from the said device; and
      • 7.2.2 you would have already carried out all necessary backups of all programs, information and data; and you have removed the SIM Card/s and all removable accessories, external devices, media, memory cards, sticks, chips and their contents from the device.
    • 7.3 Should you fail to remove any such data and/or removable accessories listed in Term 7.3 above, you acknowledge that you are doing so at your own risk and that we shall not be held liable for any loss or damages which may ensue.
    • 7.4 Support, Repair and Replacement: In the event that the device requires off-site repairs, the after sales representative shall provide you with a loan phone and shall deliver your device to our after sales service centre. Once repaired, we will notify you that it is available for collection by not later than 15 days from receipt of said notification. Failure to collect your repaired device within the stipulated time-frame, shall automatically give us the right to dispose of the repaired device as we deem necessary without further notification. Alternatively, you may benefit from our 'drop-off' service, free of charge. In this case, we will deliver the repaired device onsite.
    • 7.5 Replacement of the device shall be at our sole discretion.
    • 7.6 Loan Phone Service
    • 7.7 General: A replaced/repaired Product will be given a 90 day warranty period if the remainder of the original warranty period is less than 90 days and this subject to the conditions laid down in the Limited Warranty.
  • 8. Add-On Packs
    • 8.1 Once on this Tariff Plan, you may opt to benefit from Add-On Packs at an additional monthly fee. For more information on which Add-On Packs are available with this Tariff Plan, call 247, free of charge from your handset, visit one of our retail outlets, or visit our website.
  • 9. Disconnections, Migrations and Penalties
    • 9.1 A penalty or the waived cost of the subsidised handset shall apply upon disconnection and termination (prior to the expiration of your Agreement) or upon migration to another pay monthly tariff plan with a lower monthly access fee.

  • 10. Payment
    • 10.1 The Monthly Access Fee will be calculated on a pro rata basis according to the effective date of your Agreement and shall be charged in arrears.
    • 10.2 Payment for this Tariff Plan will be via Direct Debit Mandate.
  • 11. Renewals
    • You may renew your agreement by visiting one of our retail outlets ( vodafone.com.mt/vodafonestores) or by calling customer care on 247, free of charge, from your handset.
  • 12. General Information on this Tariff Plan
    • 12.1 If you do not use up the allocated Bundles within any given month, the remaining minutes/SMSs/data will not be carried forward to the following month.
    • 12.2 If you opt to choose a mobile phone that exceeds the subsidised value, a deposit equivalent to 3 months access fee of your Tariff Plan, is required upon subscription.
    • 12.3 In Office ( www.vodafone.com.mt/inoffice) will be allowed by default on this Tariff Plan.
    • 12.4 All charges deriving from these Tariff Plans are inclusive of VAT and but are exclusive of excise tax or any other taxes which may be applicable.
    • 12.5 You are requested to apply for our secure e-billing service by providing us with your personal e-mail address upon subscription and you will start receiving a monthly SMS notification, informing you that your e-bill has been issued. You shall be charged a monthly administrative fee of €2 per invoice if you fail to provide us with your personal email address.
  • 13. General Terms and Conditions
    • 13.1When you subscribe to this Tariff Plan, you are automatically accepting to adhere to these terms and conditions.
    • 13.2 Our general terms and conditions, our 4G Service terms and conditions, our secure e-billing terms and conditions , our after sales terms and conditions and any of our other relevant terms and conditions shall also apply.
    • 13.3 You are advised to visit our website vodafone.com.mt , call our Customer Care on 247, send us an email on # 247.mt@vodafone.com or visit one of our retail outlets or authorised dealers, to learn more about these Tariff Plans.
    • 13.4 As from 4th November 2013, our data network will be able to support 4G speedsin selected areas. 4G mobile data speeds are dependent on the network coverage as well as on your device.     • 13.5 Quality of Service: The benefits of this Tariff Plan are meant solely for individual use. If, in our reasonable opinion we deem your use as being excessive, we may ask you to moderate your usage, as this may have repercussions on the quality of the network and service levels enjoyed by our other consumers. If after we have informed you to moderate your usage, you fail to do so, we reserve the right to charge you for the excessive element of your usage at your price plan's standard rate or to suspend or terminate your service in accordance with your airtime contract. Furthermore, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate your service if you abuse of the service and/or use it in a way for which it is not intended.
    • 13.6 We reserve the right to suspend indefinitely or for a definite period, amend/alter/delete or terminate these terms and conditions at any time (collectively the 'Modifications') and for any valid commercial, technical or operational reason, by giving you a 30 day prior written notice with the proposed amendments/alterations or stating the reason for the Modifications thereof. Should you disagree with the proposed Modifications during the 30-day time-period, you shall have the right to opt-out from your Tariff Plan without incurring any penalties by informing us of your decision to this effect. You may incur penalties should you decide to opt-out after the expiration of the 30 day time-period.

Add-On Packs Terms & Conditions

  • 1. The Vodafone Add-On Packs (‘Add-Ons’) are offered by Vodafone Malta Limited ('we') to its new and existing customers ('you') subscribed to either one of the Vodafone Red Basic, Vodafone Red or Vodafone Red Premium Tariff Plans (collectively ‘Vodafone Red tariff plans’) in accordance with these terms and conditions as from 1st April 2015.
  • 2. Vodafone reserves the right to limit the number of Add-Ons offered to a single person/legal entity. Once you have subscribed to an Add-On for a particular service, you cannot subscribe to an additional Add-On for that same service.
  • 3. By subscribing to any of these Add-Ons, you are automatically accepting to adhere to these terms and conditions.
  • 4. Our general terms and conditions, our secure e-billing terms and conditions , our Vodafone Traveller terms and conditions and any of our other relevant terms and conditions shall also apply.
  • 5. You can add the following Add-Ons to your tariff plan at an additional monthly fee as follows:

Vodafone Traveller – RED Plans (as of 1st March 2016)

  • 1. Migrate to our Vodafone Traveller ('Traveller') and benefit from a Daily bundle consisting of minutes to call Malta, receiving calls, SMS to send to anywhere, Internet on Your Mobile whilst abroad within the ‘Traveller countries’ (Term 6).
  • 2. You may subscribe to Traveller as from the 29th June 2012. The new revamped Traveller will start applying from the 1st June 2017.
  • 3. Who can subscribe: Applicable for those of you subscribed to RED Plans (https://www.vodafone.com.mt/red) mainly RED Basic, RED and RED Premium, RED. Traveller is also applicable to RED Business Plans ( https://www.vodafone.com.mt/tc-business) mainly RED Business Bronze, RED Business Silver, RED Business Gold, and RED Platinum.
  • 4. How to subscribe:
    • 4.1. Call 247, visit one of our retail stores ( https://www.vodafone.com.mt/vodafonestores) or contact your account executive.
    • 4.2. Upon subscribing to Traveller, your Roaming tariff shall be migrated to Traveller within 24 hours.
  • 5. Vodafone Traveller Add-On: Upon subscribing to Traveller, you shall thereafter be charged a Daily Fee to benefit from a daily bundle of minutes to call Malta, receiving calls, SMS to any destination, Internet on Your Mobile whilst abroad in the ‘Traveller Countries’ (Term 6).
    • 5.1. The applicable Daily charge when Traveller Countries is that of:
      • 5.1.1 Zone 3 - €6 per day will apply when in Traveller Countries in Term 6.3.
    • 5.2. The daily bundle (the ‘ Daily Bundle’) applicable when in Zone 1 and Zone 2 Traveller Countries listed in term 6.1 and term 6.2 shall be as per the table below:

The Recurring Daily Bundle may recur up to ten (10) times per day, where each time you will be allocated a new Recurring Daily Bundle. No allocations shall be carried forward from one recurrence to another, and/or from one day to another.
    • 5.4. Traveller Out of Bundle Rates:-
      Any usage beyond what is provided in the Daily Bundle shall be charged at the below Out of Bundle Rates:
      • 5.4.1 Out of Bundle Rates applicable to Zone 1 and 2 Traveller countries listed in term 6.1 and term 6.2 below shall be charged as follows:-

  • 7. Traveller Add-On is not applicable when:
    • 7.1. Travelling in any country not listed in any country mentioned in Term 6 above. Visit the Pay Monthly World Rates ( https://www.vodafone.com.mt/ratesbycountry) for more information on the applicable rates for any other country not mentioned in Term 6.
    • 7.2. If a call is made to any premium or satellite number whilst roaming, the standard premium and satellite rates shall apply(https://www.vodafone.com.mt/ratesbycountry)
    • 7.3. If travelling at Sea (example: cruise liners and ferries), the standard Maritime Roaming rates (https://www.vodafone.com.mt/maritimeroaming) will apply.
  • 8. Additional Traveller Information:-
    • 8.1. You will incur the Daily charge as per term 5.1 above upon receiving or making a call, sending an SMS or upon commencing a data session whilst roaming with Traveller in any country mentioned in term 6 above.
    • 8.2. The Daily Charge and Daily Bundle will be applied on a per day basis and shall be calculated with reference to Central European Time (from 00:00 till 23:59 CET). A Daily Rate and a Daily Bundle will be applied each time you travel in different Traveller Zones in a day. Unused minutes, SMS and Data cannot be carried over to the next day.
    • 8.3. No bill shock preventor or data roaming notification is available on Traveller. The bill shock preventor/data roaming notification is available on the default Pay Monthly Vodafone World Rates (https://www.vodafone.com.mt/ratesbycountry)
    • 8.4. Short codes and rates on Traveller will be as follows:

Vodafone reserves the right to change the countries and/or networks from time to time for commercial or geopolitical reasons; such changes will happen without notice and it is the customer’s responsibility to check prior to travel.
    • 8.8. Customers opted in to Traveller can decide to purchase roaming data services from third party operators. While roaming customers may connect to a network other than Vodafone’s preferred network in the particular country, provided that Vodafone has a roaming agreement in place with the operator. If they have purchased an alternative data roaming service, Traveller customers must contact Vodafone customer care to activate access to the network if that Network is not a Vodafone approved network. The customer must also manually switch their phone to this alternative network. If a customer has requested to be moved to a non-Vodafone or non-Vodafone preferred network for their data services, they will need to manually switch back to the Vodafone or Vodafone preferred network if they wish to avail of the Traveller pricing for their voice calls and texts. If a customer does not manually switch back to the Vodafone or Vodafone preferred network they will not be able to avail of the Traveller and related rates. In these circumstances the Customer will be charged at the default EU pricing rate for calls and texts made on the alternative network. These prices are published on www.vodafone.com.mt
  • 9. General Terms:

    • 7.3. If travelling at Sea (example: cruise liners and ferries), the standard Maritime Roaming rates (https://www.vodafone.com.mt/maritimeroaming) will apply.
  • 8. Additional Traveller Information:-
    • 8.1. You will incur the Daily charge upon receiving or making a call, sending an SMS or upon commencing a data session whilst roaming with Traveller in any country mentioned in the above Term 6. Hence the Daily charge will not be applied if:
    • 8.2. The Daily Charge and Daily Bundle will be applied on a per day basis (from 00:00 till 23:59) Local (Malta’s time). A Daily Rate and a Daily Bundle will be applied each time you travel in different Traveller Zones in a day. Unused minutes, SMS and Data cannot be carried over to the next day.
    • 8.3. No bill shock preventor or data roaming notification is available on Traveller. The bill shock preventor/data roaming notification is available on the default Pay Monthly Vodafone World Rates (https://www.vodafone.com.mt/ratesbycountry)
    • 8.4. Short codes and rates on Traveller will be as follows:

Vodafone reserves the right to change the countries and/or networks from time to time for commercial or geopolitical reasons; such changes will happen without notice and it is the customer’s responsibility to check prior to travel.
    • 8.8. Customers opted in to Traveller can decide to purchase roaming data services from third party operators. While roaming customers may connect to a network other than Vodafone’s preferred network in the particular country, provided that Vodafone has a roaming agreement in place with the operator. If they have purchased an alternative data roaming service, Traveller customers must contact Vodafone customer care to activate access to the network if that Network is not a Vodafone approved network. The customer must also manually switch their phone to this alternative network. If a customer has requested to be moved to a non-Vodafone or non-Vodafone preferred network for their data services, they will need to manually switch back to the Vodafone or Vodafone preferred network if they wish to avail of the Traveller pricing for their voice calls and texts. If a customer does not manually switch back to the Vodafone or Vodafone preferred network they will not be able to avail of the Traveller and related rates. In these circumstances the Customer will be charged at the default EU pricing rate for calls and texts made on the alternative network. These prices are published on www.vodafone.com.mt
  • 9. General Terms:
    • 9.1 Our Quality of Service term (https://www.vodafone.com.mt/tc-general#qualityofservice) applies. "The benefits of all our products and services, including our prepaid and pay monthly tariff plans are meant solely for individual use. If, in our reasonable opinion we deem your use as being excessive, we may ask you to moderate your usage, as this may have repercussions on the quality of the network and service levels enjoyed by our other consumers. If after we have informed you to moderate your usage, you fail to do so, we reserve the right to charge you for the excessive element of your usage at your price plan's standard rate or to suspend or terminate your service in accordance with your airtime contract. Furthermore, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate your service if you abuse of the service and/or use it in a way for which it is not intended."

Vodafone Red Basic Plan (valid until 31st March 2015)

  • 1. The Vodafone Red Basic pay monthly tariff plan is offered by Vodafone Malta Limited ('we') to its new and existing customers ('you'). Vodafone reserves the right to limit the number of Red Basic monthly tariff plans offered to a single person/legal entity.
  • 2. You may subscribe to Vodafone Red Basic Plan as from the 8 th April 2013. This version of the terms and conditions is applicable as from 1 st March 2015.
  • 3. Vodafone Red Basic Plan (Tariff Plan)
    All rates and charges quoted below are inclusive of VAT but are exclusive of excise tax or any other taxes which may be applicable.
    • 3.1 Benefit from the below local Bundle, upon payment of €35 each month and upon signing a 1 year agreement.
      • 3.1.1 Unlimited minutes to all local Vodafone mobile numbers;
      • 3.1.2 80 minutes to all local fixed and mobile numbers on any local network;
      • 3.1.3 Unlimited SMSs to all local Vodafone mobile numbers
      • 3.1.4 80 SMSs to all mobile numbers on any local network; and
      • 3.1.5 1GB Internet on Your Mobile at 4G speeds.
    • 3.2 If you wish to benefit from a subsidy on one of our handsets, you will be required to sign a 2 year agreement – Option 1
    • 3.3 If you wish to benefit from a €5 monthly discount (Eco-Credit) on your monthly access fee, you will be required to sign a 2 year agreement (and not get a subsidy on a handset) – Option 2
  • 4. Rates outside Tariff Plan and Information on Charges

      • 7.2 The Add-On Pack will be consumed once you have exhausted the allowances in the tariff plan (terms 3.1).

      • 11.6 If you opt to choose a mobile phone that exceeds the subsidised value, a deposit equivalent to 3 months access fee of your Tariff Plan, is required upon subscription

      • 12.5 We reserve the right to suspend indefinitely or for a definite period, amend/alter/delete or terminate these terms and conditions at any time (collectively the 'Modifications') and for any valid commercial, technical or operational reason, by giving you a 30 day prior written notice with the proposed amendments/alterations or stating the reason for the Modifications thereof. Should you disagree with the proposed Modifications during the 30-day time-period, you shall have the right to opt-out from this Tariff Plan without incurring any penalties by informing us of your decision to this effect. You may incur penalties should you decide to opt-out after the expiration of the 30 day time-period.

Vodafone Red Premium Plan (valid until 31st March 2015)

  • 1. The Vodafone Red Premium pay monthly tariff plan is offered by Vodafone Malta Limited ('we') to new and existing customers ('you').
  • 2. You may subscribe to Vodafone Red Premium Plan as from the 23 rd November 2012. This version of the terms and conditions is applicable as from 1 st March 2015.
  • 3. Vodafone Red Premium Plan (Tariff Plan)
    All rates and charges quoted below are inclusive of VAT but are exclusive of excise tax or any other taxes which may be applicable.
    • 3.1 Benefit from the below bundles, upon payment of €99.99 each month and upon signing a 1 year agreement:
      • 3.1.1 Local Bundle:
        • (i) Unlimited minutes to all local fixed and mobile numbers on any local network;
        • (ii) Unlimited SMSs to all mobile numbers on any local network
        • (iii) 5GB Internet on Your Mobile
      • 3.1.2 Internet on Your Mobile Speeds
        • (i) 4G local Speeds (Refer to Term 13.4)
      • 3.1.3 International Bundle:
        • (i) 100 minutes to EU numbers
        • (ii) 100 SMS to Anywhere
      • 3.1.4 EU Roaming bundle
        • (i) 500 Minutes when calling any EU country
        • (ii) 500 Minutes receiving calls
        • (iii) 500 SMS to any destination
        • (iv) 500 MB Internet on Your Mobile
    • 3.2 EU Roaming bundle only applies when in the following EU Countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canary Islands ,Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland (including Aland Islands), France (including Reunion) , Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal (including Azores and Madeira), Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain (including Balearic Islands), Sweden, United Kingdom, French West Indies (including Guadeloupe, Martinique, Saint Barthelemy, Saint Martin, French Guiana).
    • 3.3The EU Roaming Bundle will apply to customers who have not opted out of the EU Roaming Bundle and use their phone when roaming on Vodafone or Vodafone approved networks as indicated on Vodafone’s roaming website in the above (Term 3.2) eligible countries. Vodafone reserves the right to change the networks from time to time for commercial or geopolitical reasons; such changes will happen without notice and it is the customer’s responsibility to check prior to travel
    • 3.3 If you wish to benefit from a subsidy on one of our handsets, you will be required to sign a 2 year agreement. – Option 1.
    • 3.4 Those of you subscribing to this Tariff Plan from 1 st April 2013 onwards may benefit from a €20 monthly discount on your monthly access fee upon signing a 2 year agreement (and not get a subsidy on a handset). – Option 2.

  • 4. Rates outside Tariff Plan and Information on Charges
    • 4.1 All rates and charges quoted below are inclusive of VAT but are exclusive of excise tax or any other taxes which may be applicable. You may also check/monitor your Data Bundle usage by sending an SMS to 16290 free of charge.

        Local Data Usage Any local data usage consumed out of your data allowance will be charged at €5 per 500MB. This bundle will commence once all the local data allowance within the tariff is consumed and recur indefinitely until the end of the month

  • 5. Roaming
    • 5.1 Once you exceed the EU Roaming Bundle, any further usage shall be charged at our standard roaming rates. Calls to Non-EU countries and calls and SMSes to Satellite and Premium numbers shall not be consumed from the EU Roaming Bundle and shall be charged at our standard roaming rates.
    • 5.2 In case you own a Twin Sim, the EU Roaming Bundle will be assigned only on your Primary SIM.
    • 5.3 All calls to 9999247 while roaming anywhere in the EU and non-EU countries are free-of-charge.
    • 5.4 No bill shock preventor or data roaming notification is available on this Tariff Plan. To benefit from the bill shock preventor or data roaming notification, you must be subscribed to the default tariff ( https://www.vodafone.com.mt/tc-general#world-rates) and therefore forfeit the EU Roaming bundle listed above.
  • 6. Administrative Charges
    • The following administrative charges shall apply:

        These charges cover the work involved in processing each request/payment instructions as well as any stationery costs relative thereto.
  • 7. Care Pack for your Smartphone – Applicable to those of you subscribed to Option 1 (Term 3.3.)
    • 7.1 You will benefit from a care pack for your device which entitles you to have your phone repaired for free or to get a replacement in case of out of warranty malfunction including screen damage and malfunction but excluding liquid damage. Theft and loss are not covered by the care pack. You are entitled for one free repair or replacement for the duration of your contract provided that you are subscribed to a 2 year agreement.
    • 7.2 You will benefit from a care pack for your device which entitles you to have your phone repaired for free or to get a replacement in case of out of warranty malfunction including screen damage and malfunction but excluding liquid damage. Theft and loss are not covered by the care pack. You are entitled for one free repair or replacement for the duration of your contract provided that you are subscribed to a 2 year agreement.
      • 7.2.1 The restoration or reinstallation of any programs and/or data on the device following the service, other than the software supplied with the device by the manufacturer at the time of purchase; and
      • 7.2.2 Any interoperability or compatibility issues that may arise when your device software or options are not supported by the manufacturer of the device are used with the device.
    • 7.3 You shall ensure that prior to the handing over the handset for service:
      • 7.3.1 you would already have removed any confidential information of a proprietary and/or personal nature from the said device; and
      • 7.3.2 you would have already carried out all necessary backups of all programs, information and data; and you have removed the SIM Card/s and all removable accessories, external devices, media, memory cards, sticks, chips and their contents from the device.
    • 7.4 Should you fail to remove any such data and/or removable accessories listed in Term 7.3 above, you acknowledge that you are doing so at your own risk and that we shall not be held liable for any loss or damages which may ensue.
    • 7.5 Support, Repair and Replacement :- In the event that the device requires off-site repairs, the after sales representative shall provide you with a loan phone and shall deliver your device to our after sales service centre. Once repaired, we will notify you that it is available for collection by not later than 15 days from receipt of said notification. Failure to collect your repaired device within the stipulated time-frame, shall automatically give us the right to dispose of the repaired device as we deem necessary without further notification. Alternatively, you may benefit from our 'drop-off' service, free of charge. In this case, we will deliver the repaired device onsite.
    • 7.6 Replacement of the device shall be at our sole discretion.
    • 7.7 Loan Phone Service
      • 7.7.1 Any loan phone provided shall be at your disposal for the duration of the repair service. When opting for the Loan Phone service you acknowledge receipt of the handset model with specific serial number (IMEI), provided by us upon release of the loaned handset. You will also be required to sign a loan phone form
      • 7.7.2 The on loan Product is provided free of charge with effect from the date of deposit of your faulty handset until the date of collection/drop-off of your repaired handset from/by Vodafone. Upon failure to return the handset within the 15 day time-period specified above you will incur a penalty of €5 per day.
      • 7.7.3 By accepting the loaned handset you confirm that the said handset is being given to you in a good working condition and agree to return it in the same condition as it is being delivered. Upon failure to do so you will be accepting full liability in case of damage/loss and/or theft of the said loaned handset up to the full retail price of the said loan phone in the form of pre-liquidated damages.
      • 7.7.4 You may be required to return the loaned handset at any time upon our request throughout the duration of this Loan Phone Service.
      • 7.7.5 The loaned handset shall remain the property of Vodafone at all times. You shall be responsible for the handset in your possession and shall be responsible for making any payments relating to the use of this handset.
      • 7.7.6 You shall delete any data which you might have stored on the loaned handset prior to returning it to Vodafone and acknowledge that should you return the loaned handset to Vodafone with any data stored in the memory you are hereby giving us your consent to process any of the data stored on the handset. This automatically allows Vodafone to delete all of the data without the necessity of obtaining further consent from you, and you are hereby automatically waiving any rights which you might have in the event that Vodafone inadvertently passed or passes any of this data on to third parties without having first deleted the data stored in the handset.
    • 7.8 General: A replaced/repaired Product will be given a 90 day warranty period if the remainder of the original warranty period is less than 90 days and this subject to the conditions laid down in the Limited Warranty.
  • 8. Add-On Packs
    • 8.1 You can add the following Add-on Packs to your Tariff Plan at an additional monthly fee as follows

        • The International EU Bundle shall only be applicable for calls towards the current Zone 1. The International EU Bundle will be consumed on a per second basis. Once this is consumed, you will be charged €0.25c/minute unitized per minute if the 1099 prefix is used, or else the standard international rates apply.

    • 8.2 The Add-On Pack will be consumed once you have exhausted the allowances in the tariff plan.

    • 8.4 The removal of an Add-On Pack is subject to a €3 charge as per Term 6 above.
  • 9. Disconnections, Migrations and Penalties
    • 9.1 A penalty or the waived cost of the subsidised handset shall apply upon disconnection and termination of your Agreement, prior to the expiry date

  • 10. Payment
    • 10.1 The Monthly Access Fee will be calculated on a pro rata basis according to the effective date of your Agreement and shall be charged in arrears.
    • 10.2 Payment for this Tariff Plan will be via Direct Debit Mandate.
  • 11. Renewals
    You may renew your agreement by visiting one of our retail outlets . ( vodafone.com.mt/vodafonestores) or by calling customer care on 247, free of charge, from your handset.
  • 12. General Information on this Tariff Plan
    • 12.1 If you do not use up the allocated Bundles within any given month, the remaining minutes/SMSs/data will not be carried forward to the following month.
    • 12.2 If you opt to choose a mobile phone that exceeds the subsidised value, a deposit equivalent to 3 months access fee of your Tariff Plan, is required upon subscription.
    • 12.3 In Office (www.vodafone.com.mt/inoffice) will be allowed by default on this Tariff Plan.
    • 12.4 All charges deriving from these Tariff Plans are inclusive of VAT and but are exclusive of excise tax or any other taxes which may be applicable.
    • 12.5 You are requested to apply for our secure e-billing service by providing us with your personal e-mail address upon subscription and you will start receiving a monthly SMS notification, informing you that your e-bill has been issued. You shall be charged a monthly administrative fee of €2 per invoice if you fail to provide us with your personal email address.
  • 13. General Terms and Conditions
    • 13.1 When you subscribe to this Tariff Plan, you are automatically accepting to adhere to these terms and conditions.
    • 13.2 Our general terms and conditions, our 4G Service terms and conditions, our secure e-billing terms and conditions , our after sales terms and conditions and any of our other relevant terms and conditions shall also apply.
    • 13.3 You are advised to visit our website vodafone.com.mt , call our Customer Care on 247, send us an email on 247.mt@vodafone.com or visit one of our retail outlets or authorised dealers, to learn more about these Tariff Plans.
    • 13.4 As from 4th November 2013, our data network will be able to support 4G speedsin selected areas. 4G mobile data speeds are dependent on the network coverage as well as on your device. For further information about coverage in your area or should you have any queries about mobile data speeds, visit our website vodafone.com.mt , call our Customer Care on 247, send us an email on 247.mt@vodafone.com or visit one of our retail outlets or authorised dealers. Upon subscribing to this Tariff Plan, the 4G Service general terms and conditions shall also apply.
    • 13.5 Quality of Service: The benefits of this Tariff Plan are meant solely for individual use. If, in our reasonable opinion we deem your use as being excessive, we may ask you to moderate your usage, as this may have repercussions on the quality of the network and service levels enjoyed by our other consumers. If after we have informed you to moderate your usage, you fail to do so, we reserve the right to charge you for the excessive element of your usage at your price plan's standard rate or to suspend or terminate your service in accordance with your airtime contract. Furthermore, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate your service if you abuse of the service and/or use it in a way for which it is not intended.

    • 10.5. If you opt to choose a mobile phone that exceeds the subsidised value, a deposit equivalent to 3 months access fee of your Tariff Plan, is required upon subscription.
  • 11. General Terms and Conditions
    • 11.1. Upon subscribing to this Tariff Plan, you are automatically accepting to adhere to these terms and conditions.
    • 11.2. Our general terms and conditions, our 4G Service terms and conditions, our secure e-billing terms and conditions, our Vodafone Traveller terms and conditions and any of our other relevant terms and conditions shall also apply

    • 11.4. Due to contention ratios on the network, limitations inherent within the technology and other factors beyond our control which directly impinge on the quality of radio coverage the download/upload speed may vary from time to time..

    • 11.6 Quality of Service: The benefits of this Tariff Plan are meant solely for individual use. If, in our reasonable opinion we deem your use as being excessive, we may ask you to moderate your usage, as this may have repercussions on the quality of the network and service levels enjoyed by our other consumers. If after we have informed you to moderate your usage, you fail to do so, we reserve the right to charge you for the excessive element of your usage at your price plan's Basic rate or to suspend or terminate your service in accordance with your airtime contract. Furthermore, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate your service if you abuse of the service and/or use it in a way for which it is not intended.
    • 11.7 We can suspend, modify or terminate these terms and conditions at any time and for any valid reason. You shall be given a 30 day notice during which you may opt-out of this Tariff Plan without incurring any penalties.

  • 7. Disconnections, Migrations and Penalties
    • 7.1. A penalty or the waived cost of the subsidised handset shall apply upon disconnection and termination (prior to the expiration of your Agreement) or upon migration to another pay monthly tariff plan with a lower monthly access fee.

  • 1. The Vodafone Red Premium pay monthly tariff plan is offered by Vodafone Malta Limited ('we') to new and existing customers ('you').
  • 2. You may subscribe to Vodafone Red Premium Plan as from the 1st October 2014.
  • 3. Vodafone Red Premium Plan (Tariff Plan)

    All rates and charges quoted below are inclusive of VAT but are exclusive of excise tax or any other taxes which may be applicable.

    • 3.1 Benefit from the below bundles, upon payment of €108.99 each month and upon signing a 1 year agreement:
      • 3.1.1 Local Bundle:

    • 3.2 Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canary Islands ,Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland (including Aland Islands), France (including Reunion) , Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal (including Azores and Madeira), Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain (including Balearic Islands), Sweden, United Kingdom, French West Indies (including Guadeloupe, Martinique, Saint Barthelemy, Saint Martin, French Guiana).
    • 3.3.The EU Roaming Bundle will apply to customers who have not opted out of the EU Roaming Bundle and use their phone when roaming on Vodafone or Vodafone approved networks as indicated on Vodafone’s roaming website in the above (Term 3.2) eligible countries. Vodafone reserves the right to change the networks from time to time for commercial or geopolitical reasons; such changes will happen without notice and it is the customer’s responsibility to check prior to travel.
    • 3.4 If you wish to benefit from a subsidy on one of our handsets, you will be required to sign a 2 year agreement. – Option 1
    • 3.5 Those of you subscribing to this Tariff Plan from 1st April 2013 onwards may benefit from a €20 monthly discount on your monthly access fee upon signing a 2 year agreement (and not get a subsidy on a handset). – Option 2
    • 3.6 Those of you subscribing to this Tariff Plan may choose to opt out of the EU Roaming bundle and opt for the Traveller. For more information on Traveller Plan , visit vodafone.com.mt/tc-paymonthly#travellerred

  • 5. Roaming
    • 5.1 Once you exceed the EU Roaming Bundle, any further usage shall be charged at our standard roaming rates. Calls to Non-EU countries and calls and SMSes to Satellite and Premium numbers shall not be consumed from the EU Roaming Bundle and shall be charged at our standard roaming rates.
    • 5.2 In case you own a Twin Sim, the EU Roaming Bundle will be assigned only on your Primary SIM.
    • 5.3 All calls to 9999247 while roaming anywhere in the EU and non-EU countries are free-of-charge.
    • 5.4 No bill shock preventor or data roaming notification is available on this Tariff Plan. To benefit from the bill shock preventor or data roaming notification, you must be subscribed to the default tariff and therefore forfeit the EU Roaming bundle listed above.
  • 6. Administrative Charges

  • 7. Care Pack for your Smartphone – Applicable to those of you subscribed to Option 1 (Term 3.3.)
    • 7.1. You will benefit from a care pack for your device which entitles you to have your phone repaired for free or to get a replacement in case of out of warranty malfunction including screen damage and malfunction but excluding liquid damage. Theft and loss are not covered by the care pack. You are entitled for one free repair or replacement for the duration of your contract provided that you are subscribed to a 2 year agreement
    • 7.2. You will benefit from a care pack for your device which entitles you to have your phone repaired for free or to get a replacement in case of out of warranty malfunction including screen damage and malfunction but excluding liquid damage. Theft and loss are not covered by the care pack. You are entitled for one free repair or replacement for the duration of your contract provided that you are subscribed to a 2 year agreement
      • 7.2.1 The restoration or reinstallation of any programs and/or data on the device following the service, other than the software supplied with the device by the manufacturer at the time of purchase; and
      • 7.2.2 Any interoperability or compatibility issues that may arise when your device software or options are not supported by the manufacturer of the device are used with the device.
    • 7.3 You shall ensure that prior to the handing over the handset for service:
      • 7.3.1 you would already have removed any confidential information of a proprietary and/or personal nature from the said device; and
      • 7.3.2 you would have already carried out all necessary backups of all programs, information and data; and you have removed the SIM Card/s and all removable accessories, external devices, media, memory cards, sticks, chips and their contents from the device.
    • 7.4 Should you fail to remove any such data and/or removable accessories listed in Term 7.3 above, you acknowledge that you are doing so at your own risk and that we shall not be held liable for any loss or damages which may ensue.
    • 7.5 Support, Repair and Replacement :- In the event that the device requires off-site repairs, the after sales representative shall provide you with a loan phone and shall deliver your device to our after sales service centre. Once repaired, we will notify you that it is available for collection by not later than 15 days from receipt of said notification. Failure to collect your repaired device within the stipulated time-frame, shall automatically give us the right to dispose of the repaired device as we deem necessary without further notification. Alternatively, you may benefit from our 'drop-off' service, free of charge. In this case, we will deliver the repaired device onsite.
    • 7.6 Replacement of the device shall be at our sole discretion.
    • 7.7 Loan Phone Service
      • 7.7.1 Any loan phone provided shall be at your disposal for the duration of the repair service. When opting for the Loan Phone service you acknowledge receipt of the handset model with specific serial number (IMEI), provided by us upon release of the loaned handset. You will also be required to sign a loan phone form
      • 7.7.2 The on loan Product is provided free of charge with effect from the date of deposit of your faulty handset until the date of collection/drop-off of your repaired handset from/by Vodafone. Upon failure to return the handset within the 15 day time-period specified above you will incur a penalty of €5 per day.
      • 7.7.3 By accepting the loaned handset you confirm that the said handset is being given to you in a good working condition and agree to return it in the same condition as it is being delivered. Upon failure to do so you will be accepting full liability in case of damage/loss and/or theft of the said loaned handset up to the full retail price of the said loan phone in the form of pre-liquidated damages.
      • 7.7.4 You may be required to return the loaned handset at any time upon our request throughout the duration of this Loan Phone Service.
      • 7.7.5 The loaned handset shall remain the property of Vodafone at all times. You shall be responsible for the handset in your possession and shall be responsible for making any payments relating to the use of this handset.
      • 7.7.6 You shall delete any data which you might have stored on the loaned handset prior to returning it to Vodafone and acknowledge that should you return the loaned handset to Vodafone with any data stored in the memory you are hereby giving us your consent to process any of the data stored on the handset. This automatically allows Vodafone to delete all of the data without the necessity of obtaining further consent from you, and you are hereby automatically waiving any rights which you might have in the event that Vodafone inadvertently passed or passes any of this data on to third parties without having first deleted the data stored in the handset..
    • 7.8 General: A replaced/repaired Product will be given a 90 day warranty period if the remainder of the original warranty period is less than 90 days and this subject to the conditions laid down in the Limited Warranty.
  • 8. Add-On Packs

  • 12. General Information on this Tariff Plan
    • 12.1. If you do not use up the allocated Bundles within any given month, the remaining minutes/SMSs/data will not be carried forward to the following month.
    • 12.2. If you opt to choose a mobile phone that exceeds the subsidised value, a deposit equivalent to 3 months access fee of your Tariff Plan, is required upon subscription.
    • 12.3. In Office will be allowed by default on this Tariff Plan.
    • 12.4. All charges deriving from these Tariff Plans are inclusive of VAT and but are exclusive of excise tax or any other taxes which may be applicable.
    • 12.5. You are requested to apply for our secure e-billing service by providing us with your personal e-mail address upon subscription and you will start receiving a monthly SMS notification, informing you that your e-bill has been issued. You shall be charged a monthly administrative fee of €2 per invoice if you fail to provide us with your personal email address.
  • 13. General Terms and Conditions
    • 13.1. When you subscribe to this Tariff Plan, you are automatically accepting to adhere to these terms and conditions.
    • 13.2. Our general terms and conditions, our 4G Service terms and conditions, our secure e-billing terms and conditions, our Vodafone Traveller terms and conditions and any of our other relevant terms and conditions shall also apply
    • 13.3. You are advised to visit our website vodafone.com.mt , call our Customer Care on 247, send us an email on 247.mt@vodafone.com or visit one of our retail outlets or authorised dealers, to learn more about this Tariff Plan.
    • 13.4. As from 4th November 2013, our data network will be able to support 4G speeds in selected areas. 4G mobile data speeds are dependent on the network coverage as well as on your device. For further information about coverage in your area or should you have any queries about mobile data speeds, visit our website vodafone.com.mt , call our Customer Care on 247, send us an email on 247.mt@vodafone.com or visit one of our retail outlets or authorised dealers. Upon subscribing to this Tariff Plan, the 4G Service general terms and conditions shall also apply.
    • 13.5. Quality of Service: The benefits of this Tariff Plan are meant solely for individual use. If, in our reasonable opinion we deem your use as being excessive, we may ask you to moderate your usage, as this may have repercussions on the quality of the network and service levels enjoyed by our other consumers. If after we have informed you to moderate your usage, you fail to do so, we reserve the right to charge you for the excessive element of your usage at your price plan's standard rate or to suspend or terminate your service in accordance with your airtime contract. Furthermore, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate your service if you abuse of the service and/or use it in a way for which it is not intended.
    • 13.6 We reserve the right to suspend indefinitely or for a definite period, amend/alter/delete or terminate these terms and conditions at any time (collectively the 'Modifications') and for any valid commercial, technical or operational reason, by giving you a 30 day prior written notice with the proposed amendments/alterations or stating the reason for the Modifications thereof. Should you disagree with the proposed Modifications during the 30-day time-period, you shall have the right to opt-out from your Tariff Plan without incurring any penalties by informing us of your decision to this effect. You may incur penalties should you decide to opt-out after the expiration of the 30 day time-period.

Vodafone RED Family (Valid Until 14th September 2014)

Subscribe to any one of our RED Plans and benefit from our RED Family Plan as from the 25th September 2013.

  • 1. Who can subscribe
    Customers subscribed to any one of our RED Plans on a 2 year agreement may benefit from our RED Family Plan. This plan is only available for consumer postpaid customers. For information on our RED plans please refer to:
  • 2. What is the RED Family Plan?
    • 2.1.Add your friends or family members to your RED plan (the ‘RED Family’), subject to the following:-
      • The RED Family shall be composed of 1 head member (the primary account holder) and up to 3 other additional members.
      • RED Family members need not be on the same RED Plan; However, the head member must always be on a higher plan than the additional members or at least the same RED plan. The head member can retain his existing agreement but the additional members must enter into a new 2 year agreement. If an additional member was previously subscribed to a different pay monthly tariff plan than the head member, s/he would only be able to subscribe to RED Family upon payment of the penalties of his/her pay monthly tariff plan.
      • The Head member will have full ownership of all lines within the RED Family.

      Hence:
      • only 1 bill containing the data and fees of all the lines forming part of the RED Family will be issued on a monthly basis to the Head member who will assume responsibility for payment for all the lines.
      • Only the Head member can request an itemised bill on each and every line within the same account.
      • The additional members must transfer their line onto the Head member and the said lines will henceforth be registered in the name of the Head member. Each additional member will therefore forfeit all his/her rights pertaining to the line.
      • Any requests on and any changes to the RED Family account (including requesting or removing Add-On Packs) can only be carried out by the Head member (provided that all verification checks at customer care or retail level have been successfully carried out).
  • 3. What are the benefits of forming a RED Family?
    • 3.1.Benefits for the Head member

      The monthly access fee for the Head member shall remain the same, i.e. the applicable monthly access fee shall be the same as per his/her chosen Red plan.

      BUT

      The Head member will be the only member from the RED Family to benefit from the following in line with his Red plan:-

      • Subsided device; or
      • Eco Credit (monthly discount on monthly access fee)

      If the Head member chooses a device having a retail value which is equal to or more than €300 (incl. VAT) the first 3 months’ access fee of the RED plan (chosen by the Head member) shall be payable in advance upon subscription.

    • 3.2.Benefits for the additional members

      Each additional member will benefit from a 30% Discount on the monthly access fee of the Red plan throughout the 2 year agreement. The discount will only apply to additional members subscribed to SIM Only RED Plans.

    • 3.3.Rights For Additional Members of the RED Family

      If the Head member defaults in payment and cannot be reached for the period of 1 month thereafter, (excluding cases of Billing disputes), the RED Family will cease to exist and the additional members will have the right to reclaim the ownership of their line. Prior notification via SMS will be sent to all the lines forming part of the RED Family, to this effect. The right to reclaim ownership of the line shall only apply if the additional member was previously the registered owner of the line (prior to transfer of ownership of the line to the Head Member when creating the RED Family). It is the sole responsibility of each additional member to reclaim the ownership of the line. Upon failure to do so within the time-limit provided in the SMS notification, the line will be disconnected upon the expiration of the said time-limit.

      Upon subscription the Head member shall sign a transfer of line form by way of undertaking to return the line to the additional member in the event that this Term 3.3 is invoked by the additional member.

  • 4. Disconnections, Migrations and Penalties
    • 4.1.Disconnection of Main Line – Head Member

      Upon voluntary disconnection of his/her line, the Head Member must transfer the ownership of the additional lines to:-

      Either
      • 4.1.1.A new RED Family Head Member: - The Head Member must first pay the RED plan penalties (Term 4.3) and upon payment will proceed to transfer the line to the new Head Member
      • 4.1.2. The actual user of each additional line: - In this case, the RED Family will cease to exist. The Head Family Member must first pay the RED plan penalties (Term 4.3). Upon payment each additional line will be transferred into the name of the actual user and the Head Member would be able to disconnect the line. Subsequently the additional users will not benefit from the monthly discount on the access fee.
    • 4.2.Disconnection of Additional Line – Additional Member
      • 4.2.1.Each RED Family additional member is only able to disconnect his/her line upon having obtained the Head Member’s written consent to that effect. Disconnection of additional lines can also be requested by the Head Member himself by personally visiting one of our retail outlets. In this case we shall automatically assume that the actual user of the line had requested the disconnection him/herself through the Head Member. We shall not assume any responsibility or liability for any disconnections of additional lines carried out by the Head Member personally.
      • 4.2.2.Once a disconnection of an additional line has been requested, the Head Member shall be responsible to effect payment of the applicable penalty (Terms 6.5. below shall apply).
      • 4.2.3.The additional line shall then be migrated automatically onto the prepaid base plan, unless we receive specific instructions by the Head Member to either transfer the line from the Head Member onto a third party or to migrate the line on to a specific tariff plan.
    • 4.3.Penalties
      • 4.3.1.Applicable penalty for Head Member
        • 4.3.1.1.Upon disconnection and/or premature termination of the main line by the Head member, s/he must pay a penalty equivalent either to the waived cost of the subsidised handset or equivalent to the benefit acquired through the monthly discount, depending on the actual option chosen by the Head Member upon subscribing to RED Family:

      • The RED Family shall be composed of 1 head member (the primary account holder; the ‘Head member’) and up to 3 other additional members.

      • The Head member can retain his existing agreement but the additional members must enter into a new 2 year agreement.
      • If an additional member was previously subscribed to a different pay monthly tariff plan than the Head member, s/he would only be able to subscribe to RED Family upon payment of the penalties of his/her pay monthly tariff plan and upon successful migration to any RED plan.
      • The Head member will have full ownership of all lines transferred to any RED plan within the RED Family.
      • Eligibility to the RED Family Plan is subject to payment being done via Direct Debit Mandate ('DDM').

      • 4.2.1. Each RED Family additional member is only able to disconnect his/her line upon having obtained the Head Member’s written consent to that effect. Disconnection of additional lines can also be requested by the Head Member himself by personally visiting one of our retail outlets. In this case we shall automatically assume that the actual user of the line had requested the disconnection him/herself through the Head Member. We shall not assume any responsibility or liability for any disconnections of additional lines carried out by the Head Member personally.
      • 4.2.2. Once a disconnection of an additional line has been requested, the Head Member shall be responsible to effect payment of the applicable penalty (Terms 6.5. below shall apply).
      • 4.2.3. The additional line shall then be migrated automatically onto the prepaid base plan, unless we receive specific instructions by the Head Member to either transfer the line from the Head Member onto a third party or to migrate the line on to a specific tariff plan.
    • 4.3.Penalties
      • 4.3.1.Applicable penalty for Head Member
        • 4.3.1.1.Upon disconnection and/or premature termination of the main line by the Head member, s/he must pay a penalty equivalent either to the waived cost of the subsidised handset or equivalent to the benefit acquired through the monthly discount, depending on the actual option chosen by the Head Member upon subscribing to RED Family:

          The applicable penalty structure can be found in Term 8 of the RED BASIC plan and the RED plan, and Term 9 in the RED premium plan. For the avoidance of doubt, the applicable RED Family plan penalty is that which the Head member would pay in accordance with his/her respective RED plan.

          Either the penalties stipulated in the tables found in the above-mentioned terms, or the outstanding payment depending on the Head member’s RED plan, also are applicable to the RED Family plan penalties.

If, in our reasonable opinion we deem your use as being excessive, we may ask you to moderate your usage, as this may have repercussions on the quality of the network and service levels enjoyed by our other consumers. If after we have informed you to moderate your usage, you fail to do so, we reserve the right to charge you for the excessive element of your usage at your price plan's standard rate or to suspend or terminate your service in accordance with your airtime contract. Furthermore, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate your service if you abuse of the service and/or use it in a way for which it is not intended.
        • 6.6. We can suspend, modify or terminate these terms and conditions at any time and for any valid reason. You shall be given a 30 day notice during which you may opt-out from RED Family without incurring any penalties.

Vodafone RED Family (Valid As From 10th July 2015)

As from the 10th July 2015, you can benefit from our RED Family Plan:

  • 1. Who can subscribe
    Customers with at least two lines subscribed to any one of our RED Plans on a 2 year agreement may benefit from our RED Family Plan. This plan is only available for consumer postpaid customers. All terms and conditions in our RED plans apply to the RED Family plan. For information on our RED plans please refer to:
  • 2. What is the RED Family Plan?
    • 2.1. Add your friends or family members to your RED plan (the 'RED Family'), subject to the following:-
      • The RED Family shall be composed of 1 head member (the primary account holder; the ‘Head member’) and up to 3 other additional members.
      • RED Family members need not be on the same RED Plan; However, the Head member must always be on a higher plan than the additional members or at least the same RED plan.
      • The Head member can retain his existing agreement but the additional members must enter into a new 2 year agreement.
      • If an additional member was previously subscribed to a different pay monthly tariff plan than the Head member, s/he would only be able to subscribe to RED Family upon payment of the penalties of his/her pay monthly tariff plan and upon successful migration to any RED plan.
      • The Head member will have full ownership of all lines transferred to any RED plan within the RED Family.
      • Eligibility to the RED Family Plan is subject to payment being done via Direct Debit Mandate ('DDM').

      Hence:
      • Only 1 bill containing the data and fees of all the lines forming part of the RED Family will be issued on a monthly basis to the Head member who will assume responsibility for payment for all the lines.
      • Only the Head member can request an itemised bill on each and every line within the same account.
      • The additional members must transfer their line onto the Head member and the said lines will henceforth be registered in the name of the Head member. Each additional member will therefore forfeit all his/her rights pertaining to the line.
      • Any requests on and any changes to the RED Family account (including requesting or removing Add-On Packs) can only be carried out by the Head member (provided that all verification checks at customer care or retail level have been successfully carried out).
  • 3. What are the benefits of forming a RED Family?
    • 3.1.Benefits for the Head member

      The monthly access fee for the Head member shall remain the same, i.e. the applicable monthly access fee shall be the same as per his/her chosen Red plan

      BUT

      The Head member will be the only member from the RED Family to benefit from the following in line with his Red plan:-

      • Subsided device; or
      • Eco Credit (monthly discount on monthly access fee)

      If the Head member chooses a device having a retail value which is equal to or more than €300 (incl. VAT) the first 3 months’ access fee of the RED plan (chosen by the Head member) shall be payable in advance upon subscription.

    • 3.2.Benefits for the additional members

      Each additional member will benefit from a 30% Discount on the monthly access fee of the respective Red plan throughout the 2 year agreement. The discount will only apply to additional members subscribed to SIM Only RED Plans.

    • 3.3.Rights For Additional Members of the RED Family

      If the Head member defaults in payment and cannot be reached for the period of 1 month thereafter, (excluding cases of Billing disputes), the RED Family will cease to exist and the additional members will have the right to reclaim the ownership of their line. Prior notification via SMS will be sent to all the lines forming part of the RED Family, to this effect. The right to reclaim ownership of the line shall only apply if the additional member was previously the registered owner of the line (prior to transfer of ownership of the line to the Head Member when creating the RED Family). It is the sole responsibility of each additional member to reclaim the ownership of the line. Upon failure to do so within the time-limit provided in the SMS notification, the line will be disconnected upon the expiration of the said time-limit.

      Upon subscription the Head member shall sign a transfer of line form by way of undertaking to return the line to the additional member in the event that this Term 3.3 is invoked by the additional member.

  • 4. Disconnections, Migrations and Penalties
    • 4.1.Disconnection of Main Line – Head Member

      Upon voluntary disconnection of his/her line, the Head Member must transfer the ownership of the additional lines to:-

      Either
      • 4.1.1. A new RED Family Head Member: - The Head Member must first pay the RED plan penalties (Term 4.3) and upon payment will proceed to transfer the line to the new Head Member
      • Or
      • 4.1.2. The actual user of each additional line: - In this case, the RED Family will cease to exist. The Head Family Member must first pay the RED plan penalties (Term 4.3). Upon payment each additional line will be transferred into the name of the actual user and the Head Member would be able to disconnect the line. Subsequently the additional users will not benefit from the monthly discount on the access fee in case of two or more lines.
    • 4.2.Disconnection of Additional Line – Additional Member
      • 4.2.1. Each RED Family additional member is only able to disconnect his/her line upon having obtained the Head Member’s written consent to that effect. Disconnection of additional lines can also be requested by the Head Member himself by personally visiting one of our retail outlets. In this case we shall automatically assume that the actual user of the line had requested the disconnection him/herself through the Head Member. We shall not assume any responsibility or liability for any disconnections of additional lines carried out by the Head Member personally.
      • 4.2.2. Once a disconnection of an additional line has been requested, the Head Member shall be responsible to effect payment of the applicable penalty (Terms 6.5. below shall apply).
      • 4.2.3. The additional line shall then be migrated automatically onto the prepaid base plan, unless we receive specific instructions by the Head Member to either transfer the line from the Head Member onto a third party or to migrate the line on to a specific tariff plan.
    • 4.3.Penalties
      • 4.3.1.Applicable penalty for Head Member
        • 4.3.1.1.Upon disconnection and/or premature termination of the main line by the Head member, s/he must pay a penalty equivalent either to the waived cost of the subsidised handset or equivalent to the benefit acquired through the monthly discount, depending on the actual option chosen by the Head Member upon subscribing to RED Family:

          The applicable penalty structure can be found in Term 8 of the RED BASIC plan and the RED plan, and Term 9 in the RED premium plan. For the avoidance of doubt, the applicable RED Family plan penalty is that which the Head member would pay in accordance with his/her respective RED plan.

          Either the penalties stipulated in the tables found in the above-mentioned terms, or the outstanding payment depending on the Head member’s RED plan, also are applicable to the RED Family plan penalties.
      • 5. Renewals

        The Head member can renew the RED Family plan by visiting one of our retail outlets or by calling customer care on 247, free of charge, from the handset.
