Important Information and Terms and Conditions of Use

This Important Information and these Terms and Conditions of Use govern the use of the BOV ATM Top-Up Facility. Please read this Important Information and these Terms and Conditions of Use carefully.

Definitions

  • 1 The following words shall have the following meanings throughout this Important Information and these Terms and Conditions of Use:
    • a. "Agreement" shall mean these terms and conditions which shall automatically constitute an agreement by and between you and the Bank for the provision of the Top-Up Facility, once you make use of this service;
    • b. "ATM" means Automatic Teller Machine.
    • c. "Bank", "we", "us" and "our" shall mean Bank of Valletta p.l.c or one or more agents which may be appointed by the Bank to provide the Top-Up Facility;
    • d. "Business Day" shall mean a day when the Bank is open for business and excludes Sundays, Public Holidays and Bank Holidays
    • e. "Customer", "you", "your" and "yourself" shall mean the person requesting the Top-Up Facility;
    • f. "Cut-off Time" shall mean such time at the end of a Business Day when the Bank\'s systems, whether in whole or in part, are shut down for updating purposes
    • g. "Top-Up Facility" means the BOV ATM Top-Up Facility provided by the Bank in terms of this Agreement;
    • h. "Vodafone@ shall mean Vodafone Malta Limited.

Top-Up Facility

  • 1. The maximum top-up within every three (3) days is €83.86/Lm36.00, inclusive of VAT and any other applicable taxes, per mobile account number. The maximum top-up within every one (1) month is €167.71/Lm72.00 , inclusive of VAT and any other applicable taxes, per mobile account number.
  • 2. When you request a top-up, the Bank will debit the Credit/Debit Card used by yourself in the transaction.
  • 3. Without prejudice to clauses 7 and 8 below, if funds are available in this account to fully settle the top-up amount being requested by you, the top-up will be confirmed to you by SMS, your Credit/Debit Card account will be debited and payment will be directly and immediately transferred by us to the account of the mobile phone operator. Upon successful completion of the transaction a printed receipt will be issued from the ATM.
  • 4. You shall be solely responsible to enter the correct information when inputting the details on the ATM, as well as to choose the correct denomination by which you would like the inputted mobile account number to be topped up.
  • 5. If funds available in this account are not sufficient to fully settle the top-up amount being requested by you, the Bank will not process your instructions and you will be informed by a notice on the screen of the ATM.
  • 6. A top-up request effected during the Cut-off Time will not be processed by the Bank and you will be informed by SMS that your instructions have not been processed.
  • 7. Without prejudice to clause 7 above, the Bank may refuse to carry out your instructions or immediately terminate or reverse your instructions, in whole or in part, if the Bank reasonably believes that your instructions are invalid, in any manner fraudulent or illegal or made in bad faith or that they are not coming from you or if we suspect a breach of security or if you have not acted in accordance with this Important Information and these Terms and Conditions of Use or for any other justifiable reason. The Bank undertakes to inform you of the said refusal, termination or reversal.
  • 8. You are hereby granting us and your mobile operator consent to exchange any information which we and/or your mobile operator have about you.

Records

  • 9 You are to check carefully your records of transactions and statements of accounts and to inform us immediately of any discrepancy. In the absence of error, our records will be evidence of your transactions in connection with the Top-Up Facility. In addition, you agree not to object to the admission of our records as evidence in any legal proceedings because such records are not originals, are not in writing or are documents produced by a computer.

Indemnity

  • 10 You undertake to keep the Bank indemnified against all actions, proceedings, costs, losses or damages which the Bank may incur or which may be suffered by any person, including your mobile phone operator, as a result of the Bank acting in accordance with your instructions, or a result of your failure to comply with your duties under this Agreement or of your improper use of the Top-Up Facility.

Liability

  • 11 To the fullest extent permitted by law, and except to the extent that loss or damage is caused directly by our gross negligence or willful misconduct and subject to this clause, we and your mobile service provider shall not be liable to you for any loss or damage that you may suffer as a result of your use of the Top-Up Facility. In particular, but without limiting the generality of the foregoing, and without prejudice to clause 7 above, we will not be liable for the delay in performing or failure to perform our obligations hereunder if the delay or failure results from circumstances outside our reasonable control, which shall include (but shall not be limited to) acts of God, accident, war, civil unrest, government action, labour disputes and industrial action (whether involving our employees or those of a third party), power failure, breakdown, faults or unavailability of equipment, computer systems, software and hardware, telecommunications, data communications, telephony and Internet systems, whether belonging to or under the control of the Bank or third parties, and third party services. In addition, we shall not be liable for any direct or indirect loss of profit, nor for any indirect or consequential loss or damage.

Disputes

  • 12 The Bank shall not be responsible for any disputes arising between you and your mobile phone operator.
  • Your mobile phone operator may find it necessary to disclose some of your traffic information to the Bank the Top-Up Facility for the purposes of billing, fraud prevention and insurance claims processing.

Amendments

  • 13 We reserve the right to suspend, modify, amend or in any way alter in full or in part these Terms and Conditions at any point in time without any prior notice whatsoever.

General

  • 14 This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Maltese Law and any dispute shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Justice of Malta.

Electronic Receipts - Terms & Conditions

  • Customers who top up Vodafone Malta Limited (Vodafone) prepaid accounts via the Vodafone Web Top Up, HSBC Mobile Top Up & BOV Mobile Top Up shall automatically receive an electronic receipt (e-receipt) in Portable Document Format instead of a hard copy receipt.
  • Customers shall not receive a hard copy receipt for the transaction unless this is specifically requested by the Customer.
  • The e-receipt can be accessed through the My Vodafone web-portal.
  • Customers can view, download, save and print e-receipts on plain paper.
  • It is the responsibility of the Customer to provide correct details to Banks upon application for Mobile Top Up service.
  • It is the responsibility of the customer to provide correct details through the My Vodafone web-portal.
  • Vodafone is not responsible for any incorrect data within the receipt.
  • Vodafone shall not be liable for any damages if an e-receipt is not issued.
  • A two (2) year history of e-receipts is accessible in the My Vodafone web-portal. The history will start accumulating as of 1st of September 2006.
  • Should Customers request receipts issued more than two (2) years before the request is made, they are to call 247 free of charge.
  • Request are to be made by Receipt Number.
  • Vodafone general Pay monthly terms and conditions and any other relevant Vodafone terms and conditions shall apply.
  • Vodafone reserves the right to stop, suspend, amend or otherwise alter this Tariff and these terms and conditions at any time.

Changing Vodafone Prepaid Priceplan Terms & Conditions

The following terms and conditions for changing Vodafone Prepaid price plans service (referred to hereunder as "the Service") are in addition to the terms and conditions for other Vodafone Malta prepaid mobile telecommunications services. In the event of any conflict, these terms and conditions shall prevail with respect to this Service.

  • 1 The Service is only available to Clients of the Vodafone Malta prepaid service who are currently using one of the standard Vodafone Malta prepaid price plans; eone, etwo or ethree.
  • 2 Eligible Clients (including both existing and new Clients) may request this Service by calling the Vodafone Prepaid service number 16203 (calls are free of charge) or by calling our Customer Service number 247 or via the "My Vodafone" facility on this Site, which requires an online registration. Vodafone Malta may make available additional methods of requesting for the Service or withdraw any of the existing methods.
  • 3 Each eligible Client whose request is accepted by Vodafone Malta may change his/her existing prepaid price plan to either one of the other available plans. When using the facility through the My Vodafone, a text message (SMS) with a confirmation code will be sent to the Client as a form of authentication and verification to proceed with the change in price plan requested. A second text message (SMS) confirming change to the new prepaid price plan will be sent to the Client. The change should be effective immediately.
  • 4 Vodafone Prepaid Clients may change their prepaid price plan free of charge for the first time only by calling the Service number 16203 (calls free of charge) or by calling our Customer Service number 247 or via the "My Vodafone" facility on this Site. Any subsequent changes to the prepaid price plan are subject to an administrative fee, which fee will be directly deducted from the prepaid credit balance.
  • 5 Vodafone Malta expressly disclaims any responsibility or liability for any loss or damage arising or resulting from any error or delay on the part of Vodafone Malta in providing the Service. Vodafone Malta may withdraw the Service generally or from any particular Client at any time or vary or amend any element of the Service without further notice. These terms and conditions may be varied or amended by Vodafone Malta at any time for any valid commercial, technical or operational reason.

Disconnection Policy

A Customer will be disconnected from the network if s/he does not carry out any chargeable event in a period of three hundred and sixty-five (365) days. A chargeable event can be any event or service resulting in a decrease in the prepaid credit account or bundles. If a Customer carries out a chargeable event, the 365 day period shall start afresh. For example, if the Customer makes a chargeable voice call, the 365 day period starts running from the day the call is made.

If a Customer terminates his/her service or is disconnected from the network, s/he will lose any unutilised credit in his/her account and will no longer avail of the number allocated to him/her.

In the event that a Customer meets the above criteria for disconnection, s/he will receive a notification SMS three (3) days before disconnection informing that that account will be disconnected in three (3) days unless an activity is performed.

Credit Rescue

  • This service shall only be available to Vodafone pre-paid service customers.
  • Credit can only be transferred from a Vodafone pre-paid account to another Vodafone pre-paid account.
  • To transfer credit, the customer shall send an SMS to 16233 to transfer €3 and 16255 to transfer €5. The SMS shall include the mobile number to which the transfer is to be made. The SMS shall cost €0.05 and shall be deducted from the Vodafone pre-paid account of the customer transferring the credit.
  • Vodafone shall not be held liable of any direct, indirect or consequential damages suffered by any Vodafone customer transferring and/or receiving credit, if the transaction is not successful.
  • Once a transfer is accepted, it shall be final and it cannot be cancelled.
  • A customer may only transfer funds up to a maximum of up to three times a day, (between 00:00 hrs and 24:00 hrs).
  • Vodafone general prepaid terms and conditions and any other relevant Vodafone terms and conditions shall apply.
  • Vodafone reserves the right to stop, suspend, amend or otherwise alter this service and these terms and conditions at any time, in accordance with applicable law.

Vodafone Easy Top-Up General T&Cs

THE SERVICE
By means of our Easy Top-up service, (‘Easy Top-up’), you may choose amongst various options and methods to top-up your prepaid account by using your credit/ debit card. By registering for and using Easy Top-up, you hereby agree to the following terms and conditions:

  • 1. DEFINITIONS
    For the purposes of these terms and conditions:
    • 1.1 “Connection’”/ “Mobile Number” means the number (MSISDN) which is registered in your name and for which you have duly filled in a network/online registration form with Vodafone.
    • 1.2 “Credit/Debit card” means any of the following; Visa (credit card), Mastercard (credit card), Bank Of Valletta Cashlink (debit card), Bank Of Valletta Cashlink International (debit card), Bank of Valletta Club Card (debit card), Bank of Valletta Visa Gold (credit card), Bank of Valletta Visa Platinum Gold (credit card), APS Premier Card (debit card);
    • 1.3 “Easy Credit” service:- you may set a minimum threshold for the credit held in your Vodafone account, such that if your credit falls below that threshold, we will automatically charge your Debit/Credit card with your required top-up amount.
    • 1.4 “Easy Monthly” service:- you may choose a date in any given month on which to begin being topped up with a pre-established amount of credit in relation to your mobile number every 30 days.
    • 1.5 “Easy Top-up” refers to both the Easy Credit and the Easy Monthly services;
    • 1.6 “My Vodafone” is the section in the Vodafone website, vodafone.com.mt (the Website) whereby you may register your mobile number and personal details in order to benefit from the web services made available through the internet systems by Vodafone.
    • 1.7 “Easy Credit” and “Easy Monthly” means your chosen Easy Top-up option, in relation to which you accept to be debited by Vodafone as per the parameters set out in the option itself.
    • 1.8 “Successful Registration” means either a registration for Easy Top-up via one of our retail outlets or an online registration which is subsequently accepted and approved by us and duly notified to you.
    • 1.9 “System” means a method whereby payments are authorised via the Vodafone public mobile telecommunications network and internet systems and in virtue of which you are enabled to top-up your prepaid account through your online ‘My Vodafone’ account.
    • 1.10 “Vodafone” means Vodafone Malta Limited as duly registered in Malta and having company registration number C 10865.
    • 1.11 “You” means (i) the client who is registered as a prepaid customer with the Vodafone network by means of a network/online registration form for each prepaid Connection and who is also registered separately (one registration per connection) with ‘My Vodafone’ on the Website; (ii) the client who is legally authorised to charge a Credit/Debit card which is debited via the Website to effect the payment to Vodafone in relation to the Easy Top-up option chosen by you
  • 2. OUR RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS
    We undertake to:
    • a. Send you an electronic receipt number via SMS on your Vodafone Mobile Number in order to be able to retrieve your VAT ereceipt either via My Vodafone or by presenting the ereceipt number at one of our retail outlets and we will print the ereceipt for you each time your Credit/Debit card is debited in relation to your chosen Easy Top-up option.
    • b. Disclaim insofar as legally possible responsibility for any loss or damage of the VAT ereceipt or any other correspondence sent to you in relation to Easy Top-up via post on the postal address, which you duly provided us with upon registration with My Vodafone or via the duly filled in network/online registration form.
    • c. Provide you with a secure system which enables you to have your Credit/Debit card charged by amounts which are authorised by you and receive the relative value (inclusive of any VAT and other applicable taxes) from us via the System;
    • d. Guarantee the security of the System as far as within its control;
    • e. Take all reasonable steps and precautions to encrypt any information stored within our online systems provided at the point of its transmission to us;
    • f. Upon having obtained a Successful Registration for Easy Top-up, we reserve the right to claim dues for actual top-ups even if you claim a chargeback. We further reserve the right to stop use of Easy Top-up in such cases where it becomes clear that you are fraudulently making use of the service.
    • g. In the event that the System is not functioning on the date of your request to be topped up via either Easy Credit or Easy Monthly, we shall notify you of such malfunctioning and shall request you to top up via alternative means. In such cases, Easy Top-up will then be available for your use the following month.
    • h. You may only effect top ups up to €116.45c per transaction. Upon having credit in your account of €116.47c, any additional top up will be unsuccessful.
    • i. In the event that your Debit/Credit card is debited with the amount and your prepaid account has not been credited with the value in question, we shall reverse the charge, upon having carried out the necessary verifications.
    • j. We reserve the right to suspend indefinitely or for a definite period, amend/alter/ delete or terminate Easy Top-up and/or these terms and conditions at any time (collectively referred to as the ‘Modifications’) and for any valid commercial, technical or operational reason, by giving you a 30 day prior written notice with the proposed amendments/alterations or stating the reason for the suspension and/or termination thereof. Should you disagree with the Modifications during the 30 day time-period, you shall have the right to opt out without incurring any charges, by informing us of your decision to this effect. In default you shall be deemed as having accepted the Modifications.
  • 3. YOUR RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS
    • 3.1 You acknowledge that Easy Top-up is a service which we provide for your ease of topping up and that you shall only make use of the service upon having performed a Successful Registration for either Easy Credit or Easy Monthly;
    • 3.2 You acknowledge further that in order to make use of Easy Top-up, you shall:
      • a. Apply for Easy Top-up either through one of our retail outlets or through My Vodafone and we shall notify you of Successful Registration via SMS.
      • b. Provide our retail outlet representative with, or input in the System provided to you by Vodafone, any information which we may request from you in respect of personal and/or credit/debit card details. For the avoidance of doubt, when applying for Easy Top-up through the retail outlet, you shall be asked to present your ID Card and the Debit/Credit card to be used in connection with Easy Top-up.
      • c. Provide our retail outlet representative with, or input into the System ONLY those Credit/Debit card details which you are legally authorised to use. Upon failure to do so, you shall be deemed as abusing of Easy Top-up and will be in breach of these terms and conditions;
      • d. Honour all withdrawals originating and incurred through your usage of Easy Top-up and debiting of your Debit/Credit card, details of which would have been previously provided to our retail outlet representative or inputted in the System;
      • e. Indemnify and hold us harmless for any losses suffered by us in the event of a material breach by you of any one or several of the terms and conditions contained herein;
      • f. Not transfer any rights and/or obligations under these terms and conditions to any third party;
      • g. You shall have to choose between Easy Credit or Easy Monthly at any one time. To swap between Easy Credit and Easy Monthly, you shall first disconnect the current option availed of and then Successfully Register on the new option.
      • h. You shall only be allowed to change your Debit/Credit card details up to a maximum of 3 times per calendar month. i. Notify us immediately in writing of any changes to our personal details, including email and postal address, as given to us upon registering with ‘My Vodafone’ or through the network/ online registration form.
    • 3.3 You understand and accept that you are hereby accepting responsibility for all requests for Easy Top-up which originate from your Mobile Number through your prepaid account and which are transacted through the System, and that all requests and ensuing transactions shall be due and payable by you to Vodafone.
  • 4. TERMINATION
    • a. We may terminate your Successful Registration for Easy Top-up by sending you an email notification to the registered email address in the ‘My Vodafone’ account, for any reason, including but not limited to your misuse, abuse, fraudulent, negligent, erroneous or irresponsible use of Easy Top-up.
    • b. You may terminate Easy Top-up by calling our customer care on 247 or calling at one of our retail outlets. You acknowledge and accept that unless and until we acknowledge such termination notice, you will still be deemed to be bound by all the terms and conditions of the Successful Registration towards Vodafone.
    • c. If, upon termination, you were subscribed to either our Easy Credit or our Easy Monthly service, you are hereby being advised to use up any remaining credit prior to termination. We shall not issue any refund for such credit.
  • 5. SELECTION OF SERVICE AND CHARGES
    • 5.1. You shall use Easy Top-up once the Successful Registration has occurred.
    • 5.2. Easy Top-up is currently free of charge. Provided that we reserve the right to introduce a tariff/charge for such service in the future. Provided further that should such tariff/charge be introduced, we shall inform all Easy Top-up clients of the introduction of such tariff/charge in advance.
    • 5.3. All transactions made via the System will be charged to you in Euro (€) or the currency of billing of the Credit/ Debit card’s issuing bank.
    • 5.4. Upon choosing Easy Credit, you are hereby advised that the balance check is performed every 6 hours. Therefore you must ensure that the minimum threshold set takes this aspect into consideration.
    • 5.5. You may change between the Easy Credit and Easy Monthly up to a maximum of 5 times per calendar month.
    • 5.6. You may disable Easy Top-up at any point in time.
  • 6. APPLICABLE LAW
    These terms and conditions are governed by Maltese Law, in particular by the Electronic Commerce Act and the Parties hereby submit themselves to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Maltese Courts.
  • 7. DATA PROTECTION
    Vodafone declares that the personal information that we are collecting in this form shall only be used in relation to the purposes stated herein, services and in accordance with our Privacy Policy (which can be found in full on our website: www.vodafone.com.mt/privacypolicy or in any Vodafone store), for more information on how Vodafone collects, uses and shares personal information including your data protection rights please see our Privacy Policy which can be found on www.vodafone.com.mt/privacypolicy.   • 8. ABUSE OF SERVICE
    You hereby understand and accept that the misuse, abuse, unauthorised or fraudulent use of Credit/Debit cards in connection with Easy Top-up is a criminal offence which is punishable at law, and that we reserve the right to immediately report such matters to the Police for further action to be taken thereon. This is without prejudice to all other applicable remedies at law or in virtue of these terms and conditions including the termination of the Easy Top-up service once there is reasonable suspicion of such fraudulent abuse to the System.
  • 9. SEVERABILITY
    If any part of these terms and conditions shall be found by any court or arbitration panel of competent jurisdiction to be invalid or unenforceable the invalidity or unenforceability of such clauses shall not affect the other clauses of these terms and conditions and all clauses not affected by such invalidity or unenforceability shall remain in full force and effect. We hereby undertake to attempt to substitute for any invalid or unenforceable clause a valid or enforceable clause, which achieves to the greatest extent possible the economic, legal and commercial objectives of the invalid or unenforceable clause.

Vodafone Web Top-Up Services Terms & Conditions

WHEREAS

Vodafone Malta Limited (“We”, “Us”, “Our”) has developed a method of payment (hereinafter referred to as "Web Top-Up Service”), in virtue of which Our Customer (“You”, “Your”) may carry out payments using Your authorised credit/debit card in return for which You acquire the tariff-approved credit corresponding to the chosen top-up value (hereinafter referred to as "Web Top-Up Service”) from Us.

By using the Web Top-Up Service, You agree to the following terms and conditions:-

1. Definitions

For the purposes of this Web Top-Up Service;

  • 1.1 "You", "Your" refers to a person who has a prepaid connection with Our network and who is registered with \'My Vodafone’ on Our website. “You”, “Your” also refers to the person who is legally authorised to charge a credit/debit card which is debited via Our website to effect the purchase of Web Top-Up Service;
  • 1.2 "Web Top-Up Service” means the service whereby You top up Your prepaid mobile account or any other Vodafone prepaid mobile account, using a credit/debit card, which You are legally authorised to charge, via the System;
  • 1.3 "System" means a functionality whereby payments are authorised via Our public electronic communications network and internet systems and in virtue of which You are enabled to purchase Web Top-Up Service through Your online \'My Vodafone’ account which You are legally authorised to charge; 1.4 "My Vodafone” is the section in Our website whereby You may register Your mobile number and personal details in order to benefit from the web services made available through the internet systems by Us.
  • 1.4 "Credit/debit card" means any of the following; Visa (credit card), Mastercard (credit card), Bank Of Valletta Cashlink (debit card), Bank Of Valletta Cashlink International (debit card), Bank of Valletta Club Card (debit card), Bank of Valletta Visa Gold (credit card), Bank of Valletta Visa Platinum Gold (credit card), APS Premier Card (debit card);HSBC Bank Malta VISA Gold and VISA classic (credit cards); HSBC Bank Malta Premier MasterCard and MasterCard classic (credit cards); HSBC Bank Malta Quikcash Gold and Quikcash classic (debit cards); HSBC Bank Malta VISA Electron (debit card)
  • 1.5 "Connection"/ "Mobile Number" means the number (MSISDN) registered in Your name and for which You have entered into an agreement with Us upon purchasing a mobile connection.

2. Our Rights & Obligations

By virtue of these terms and conditions Vodafone Malta undertakes to:-

  • a. Provide You with a secure System which enables You to have Your credit/debit card charged by amounts so authorised by You and receive tariff-approved value from Us via the System;
  • b. Guarantee the security of the System as far as within its control;
  • c. Take all reasonable steps and precautions to encrypt any information stored within its online systems provided at the point of its transmission to Us;
  • d. We reserve the right to discontinue the availability of Web Top-Up Service at Our discretion, in which case You will be notified accordingly, in advance;
  • e. We reserve the right to change the applicable terms and conditions of Our Web Top-up Service at any time, in which case You will be notified according to applicable law, in advance.

3. Client's Rights & Obligations

  • 3.1 By virtue of these terms and conditions, in order to use the Web Top-Up Service You undertake:-
    • a. To input in the System provided to You by Us, any information as may be requested by Us in respect of personal and credit/debit cards details;
    • b. To input into the System ONLY credit/debit card details which You are legally authorised to use. In default, You would be deemed to be abusing of the System and be in breach of these terms and conditions;
    • c. To honour all payments originating and incurred through Your usage of the online 'My Vodafone’ account and consequential debiting Your debit/credit card, details of which would have been previously inputted in the System;
    • d. Indemnify and hold Us harmless for any losses suffered in the event that We are in material breach of any one or several of the conditions contained in these terms and conditions;
    • e. Not to transfer any rights and/or obligations under these terms and conditions to any third party.
  • 3.2 You understand and accept that You are hereby accepting responsibility for all requests for Web Top-Up Service which originates from Your Mobile Number through the 'My Vodafone’ account and are transacted through the System, and that all balances resulting from such requests and ensuing transactions shall be due and payable by You to Us.

Limitation of Liability

You further understand and accept that for security reasons the System will not allow for usage, which exceeds a pre-established limit over a period of time. These limits are changed periodically. Other methods of topping-up (such as the use of Scratch Cards) are not hereby affected.

4. Termination

  • a. We may terminate Your registration to 'My Vodafone' by sending an email notification to the registered email address in the 'My Vodafone' account, for any reason, including but not limited to the misuse, abuse, fraudulent, negligent, erroneous or irresponsible use of the Service by You.
  • b. You may terminate the 'My Vodafone’ registration by simply sending a notification by email to 247.mt@vodafone.com. You acknowledge and accept that unless and until such termination notice is duly acknowledged by Us, You will still be deemed to be bound by all the terms and conditions of this registration towards Us.

5. Selection of Service & Charges

  • 5.1 The Web Top-Up Service shall be used by You when You log into Your online 'My Vodafone’ account.
  • 5.2 The Web Top-Up Service is currently free of charge. Provided that We reserve the right to introduce a tariff/charge for such service in the future. Provided further that should such tariff/charge be introduced, We undertake to immediately inform all Web Top-Up Service users of the introduction of such tariff/charge in terms of applicable law
  • 5.3 All transactions made via the System by You will be charged in Euro (€).
  • 5.4 Upon initial registration for the Service, You will be asked whether You would like Your details to be kept by the System for the purpose of future transactions. For this use unless You opt to have these details retained by the System, the details shall be automatically erased from the System upon finalisation of the transaction. If You opt for Your details to be retained by the System, such details shall be shown for a maximum of 6 months from the date of the last transaction performed via this Service.

6. Privacy

  • 6.1 We hereby declare that the personal information that we may process shall only be used in connection to the purposes stated herein and in our Privacy Policy (which can be found in full on our website: www.vodafone.com.mt/privacypolicy or in any Vodafone store). 7. Applicable Law

These terms and conditions are governed by Maltese Law, in particular by the Electronic Commerce Act, and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Maltese Courts.

8. Abuse of Service

  • 8.1 You hereby understand and accept that the misuse, abuse, unauthorised or fraudulent use of credit/debit cards in connection with this Service is a criminal offence which is punishable at law, and that We reserve the right to immediately report such matters to the Police for further action to be taken thereon. This is without prejudice to all other applicable remedies at law or in virtue of this agreement including the termination of the Service once there is reasonable suspicion of such fraudulent abuse to the System.

9. Severability

  • 9.1 If any part of these terms and conditions shall be found by any court or arbitration panel of competent jurisdiction to be invalid or unenforceable the invalidity or unenforceability of such clauses shall not affect the other clauses of these terms and conditions and all clauses not affected by such invalidity or unenforceability shall remain in full force and effect. We hereby undertake to attempt to substitute for any invalid or unenforceable clause a valid or enforceable clause, which achieves to the greatest extent possible the economic, legal and commercial objectives of the invalid or unenforceable clause.

  • Notice of change in terms and conditions for Prepaid Data Roaming Tariffs as from 13 th June 2017.

  • The following terms and conditions of the Vodafone Prepaid Data Roaming tariffs are in addition to and form part of Vodafone Malta Limited's ('We') general terms and conditions for prepaid customers. In the event of any conflict, the terms and conditions below shall prevail. Our Prepaid Data Roaming tariffs are available to Our prepaid mobile data customers ("You") and allow You to download/upload data while roaming (subject to these terms and conditions via Your mobile phone account).

  • Those of You making use of the Vodafone Connect Card, Vodafone Internet Key, MMS and internet (collectively the 'Data') shall automatically be charged with the applicable tariff charges when using Data services when roaming on networks where prepaid data roaming is available. These tariff charges are listed below and are inclusive of VAT.

  • These countries shall be regularly updated on Our website vodafone.com.mt . You are advised to visit this site regularly to check which networks are available and which of these tariff charges apply.

  • The countries are divided into European Union* countries and non-European Union countries. Charges differ between the two.

  • The prepaid data roaming rate for all Data consumed when travelling in EU and non-EU countries are as follows:

Vodafone Prepaid Plan Terms and Conditions

  • 1. The Vodafone prepaid Base Plan (the 'Tariff') is available to Vodafone Malta Limited's ('We'/'Us'/'Our') prepaid customers ('You') and is the default plan.
  • 2. This Tariff was launched on Friday 4th March 2011. This version of the terms and conditions is applicable as from 8th May 2019
  • 3. Calls made locally to all local numbers shall be charged at €0.25/min charged on a per minute basis.
  • 4. SMS sent locally to all local mobile numbers shall be charged at €0.05/SMS.
  • 5. Internet usage made locally and when travelling in EU shall be charged at €0.99 per 200MB valid for one (1) calendar day, for the avoidance of doubt it is valid from 00:00 to 23:59 of the same day when the charge is triggered. Any remaining unutilised MBs shall not be carried forward upon the expiration day time-window. This Out of Bundle rate will commence once all the data allowance within the Plan is consumed and will continue to recur until a totality of 6.25GB. Any data above this limit will be charged at the rate of 2c/MB.

  • 12. From time to time we may modify the standard settings and/or features of your Plan to offer an additional value. In case that such changes are approved and considered to be inherently beneficial by the Malta Communication Authority in accordance with applicable laws, we will inform you about the changes by giving you a 1-day prior notice and term 2 above will not apply.

Vodafone SOS Credit Terms and Conditions

  • 1. Vodafone Malta Limited ('we') is providing all its prepaid customers ('you') with an SOS credit service (the 'SOS Service'), subject to the terms and conditions stipulated hereunder.
  • The SOS Service:-
  • Instead of topping-up your credit via top-up vouchers, you may acquire €2 in credit, which is then deducted automatically upon effecting your next top-up, together with a charge of €0.40c.
  • 2. How to apply for the Service .
    • 2.1 Simply send a blank SMS, free of charge, to 16250. You will then receive an SMS confirming that your prepaid account has been topped-up with €2 in credit. You can only request this SOS Service for up to 2 times in between top-ups and at any time (24/7).
    • 2.2 You may only make use of this SOS Service when your prepaid credit balance falls below €1.
    • 2.3 Upon sending the blank SMS in accordance with term 2.1 above, you shall automatically be deemed as having accepted to adhere to these terms and conditions.
  • 3. General
    • 3.1 This SOS Service will be launched on the 18th of February 2013.
    • 3.2 You can only request this SOS Service for up to 2 times in between top-ups and at any time (24/7). For the avoidance of doubt, the charge will apply each time you request this SOS Service.
    • 3.3 The SOS Service is available whilst roaming.
    • 3.4 Once your account has been topped-up in accordance with term 2.1 above, the top-up shall be considered as final and cannot be cancelled or revoked.
    • 3.5 We shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect or consequential damages which you may suffer if the transaction is not successful for any reason whatsoever.
    • 3.6 Our general terms and conditions and any of our other relevant terms and conditions shall also apply, including your prepaid tariff plan terms and conditions.

  • 4. The above listed rates apply when by entering the prefix 1099 before dialling the international number you wish to call. (for example: If you wish to call a UK number at a discounted rate, you need to dial 10990044xxxxxxxx)


  • One World


  • 1. You have the opportunity to benefit from lower international rates (the 'Offer')
  • 2. This Offer is available to all of our prepaid customers.
  • 3. The Offer shall be effective as from the 31st July 2015 up to the 31st December 2016.
  • 4. When availing yourself from this offer, a €1 charge shall be incurred every calendar month, which gives you the benefit of lower rates in accordance with term 5 below, when calling abroad for the rest of that day. For the purpose of this Offer the term ‘day’ shall mean the time between 00:00 till 23:59. This €1 charge shall be incurred as soon as you make your first international call during the month, irrespective of the time of day when the call is made. Therefore for clarification purposes, the €1 monthly charge shall be charged in full irrespective of when the call is made during the month.
  • 5. After the €1 is charged you can benefit from discounted rates on international calls for the rest of the month (the ‘Discounted Rates’). The Discounted Rates on international calls are as follows:

    Zone 2 North Africa, N. America, Australia and New Zealand €0.20c/min

  • 6. In order to subscribe to this Offer, you must send an SMS (free of charge) with the word “WORLD” to 16200 before making your international calls. Once you receive a confirmation SMS, you shall be deemed as having subscribed to this Offer and thus you shall be able to start availing yourself from the Discounted Rates in accordance with term 5 above.
  • 7. For the avoidance of any doubt, once you have registered in accordance with term 6, the €1 monthly charge shall be incurred whenever you make the first international call of the same subsequent month and the €1 shall be charged forth with the first international call on the following months. You may however opt out of this Offer by sending an SMS (free of charge) with the word “STOPWORLD” to 16200.
  • 8. Upon registering in accordance with term 6, you shall automatically be deemed to have accepted to adhere to these terms and conditions. We reserve the right to stop, suspend, amend or otherwise alter this Offer and these terms and conditions upon providing you with adequate prior notice and Vodafone shall not be held liable for any reason whatsoever if the Offer is terminated, cancelled and/or postponed.

    • 5.3 To benefit from beneficial International call rates: Enter 1099 prefix before dialling the international number (for ex: if you wish to call a UK number at a discounted rate you need to dial 10990044XXXXXX).   • 6. Roaming: On this Plan, You will have the option to subscribe to our Vodafone Hybrid Traveller tariff plan ( https://www.vodafone.com.mt/tc-pay-monthly#hybridtraveller).
    No bill shock preventer or data roaming notification is available on the Hybrid Traveller tariff Plan. To be able to avail yourself from the bill shock preventer or data roaming notification, you must be subscribed to the basic default tariff.

  • 7.  Add-On Packs: Once on this Tariff Plan, you may opt to benefit from Add-On Packs at an additional fee. For more information on which Add-On Packs are available with this Tariff Plan, visit one of our retail outlets, or visit our website
  • 8. Disconnections, Migrations and Other Fees
    • 8.1. The Monthly charge as per term 3 above shall be charged on the same day of every month and will be effective from the date of your Agreement. The payment for the Bundle shall be charged in advance and can only be effected by Direct Debit Mandate (via your credit or debit card). You shall be requested to provide us with your credit or debit card details upon subscribing to this Plan.
    • 8.2. Should payment be rejected, you will be informed accordingly and given 28 days to rectify the situation. Unsuccessful payment after this period will be considered as a breach of the agreement and a penalty fee outlined in term 8.1 will be applied. Upon assignment of the penalty fee, your mobile account will go into negative credit and you will not be able to make calls or send SMSs. You will be able to make use of your mobile line again upon paying the necessary fee, at which point you would have terminated your Vodafone POP Star contract.
    • 8.3. Should payment of your Monthly Access Fee be successful within the 28day period, the next payment will occur as per the same day set at the start of your agreement.
    • 8.4. The 28 day notice shall apply in all payment cycles, except first payment. Should the first payment not be successful within 10days of your acceptance to the terms and conditions by signing the agreement and the terms and conditions, this will considered as a being breach of the agreement. In which case, the Fee indicated in term 8.1 will apply.
    • 8.5. Should you be in breach of the agreement and fail to pay the stipulated fees, we reserve the right to upload your details on Credit Info. This is a credit risk management service that allows other entities to view your credit rating.
    • 8.6. Besides the Monthly Charge, you may also top up your credit through prepaid top ups. You will also benefit from additional credit, depending on amount topped up over and above bundle. The newly topped up credit shall be consumed on usage outside of the bundle.
    • 8.7. Top-ups affected do not count towards the Monthly Charge. This is only payable through Direct Debit Mandate.
  • 9. Disconnections, Migrations and Other Fees – Option 1s
    • 9.1. Upon migrating to another tariff plan (prepaid or pay monthly) or upon disconnecting from this Plan, you shall be liable to pay a fee which covers the cost of the Smartphone (the ‘Fee’). This Penalty Fee will be calculated pro rata, according to price of the smartphone and duration of the contract.
    • 9.2. Your Agreement can be terminated in two methods, both subject to the Fee:
      • 9.2.1 A voluntary termination:- applies where you opt to terminate your Agreement before its expiry date. If you wish to migrate onto another prepaid plan or onto a pay monthly plan, this Agreement must first be terminated and you must pay the Fee and any other charges which may be applicable. You may terminate your Agreement by visiting one of our outlets.
      • 9.2.2 A financial termination:- termination of your Agreement by way of breach of the payment terms due to failure to comply with the payment of your Monthly Charge.
    • 9.3 The Fee shall be automatically deducted from your mobile credit. If you do not have enough credit in your mobile to cover the Fee, credit will go into negative credit and the line will automatically be barred. Once a top up is made, an automatic payment to the outstanding amount is made. Line will be unbarred once balance has been paid in full. Outstanding balance can also be paid by visiting one of our outlets or calling 247.
    • 9.4 You may terminate your Agreement within 15days from the date of signature, without incurring any fees. This shall apply provided that you have not used the handset given with the Plan in accordance with Term 3.1. above and provided that the handset is returned to us sealed.
  • 10. Disconnections, Migrations and Other Fees – Option 2
    • 10.1. Upon migrating to another tariff plan (prepaid or pay monthly) or upon disconnecting from this Plan, you shall be liable to pay a flat penalty fee of fifty Euros (€50) (the ‘Flat Fee’).
    • 10.2. Your Agreement can be terminated in two methods, both subject to the Fee:
      • 10.2.1 A voluntary termination:- applies where you opt to terminate your Agreement before its expiry date. If you wish to migrate onto another prepaid plan or onto a pay monthly plan, this Agreement must first be terminated and you must pay the Fee and any other charges which may be applicable. You may terminate your Agreement by visiting one of our outlets.
      • 10.2.2 A financial termination:- termination of your Agreement by way of breach of the payment terms due to failure to comply with the payment of your Monthly Charge.
    • 10.3. The Fee shall be automatically deducted from your mobile credit.   • 11. Upgrades and Renewals
    • 11.1. You may renew your agreement either by calling customer care on 247, free of charge, from your handset, or by visiting one of our  retail outlets. The list of our retail outlets may be found on this link: https://www.vodafone.com.mt/vodafonestores.
    • 11.2. You may upgrade your Vodafone POP Star at any time, and
      • 11.2.1 If choosing Option 1 as in Term 3.1 above:  a disconnection fee will apply if migrating to another plan. The disconnection fee will be calculated pro rata, according to price of the smartphone and duration of the contract,
      • 11.2.2 If choosing Option 2 as in Term 3.2 above:  No disconnection fee will apply if upgrading to another plan. You will sign a new contract for the new plan you will be upgrading to and the term of the new contract shall commence from the date of signing.
  • 12. General Terms and Conditions on the Tariff Plan
    • 12.1. If you do not use up the allocated Bundle within any given month, the remaining minutes/SMSs/data will not be carried forward to the following month.
    • 12.2. In the event that you use your mobile handset before receiving the SMS notification confirming your successful subscription to the Monthly Bundle, you shall automatically be charged according to the plan you would be subscribed to prior to this subscription.
    • 12.3. If you opt to choose a mobile phone that exceeds the subsidised value, a deposit equivalent to 3 months access fee of your Tariff Plan, is required upon subscription. <
  • 13. General Terms and Conditions 
    • 13.1. When you subscribe to this Tariff Plan, you are automatically accepting to adhere to these terms and conditions.
    • 13.2. Our  general terms and conditions, our 4G Service terms and conditions, our secure e-billing terms and conditions , our  after sales terms and conditions and any of our other relevant terms and conditions shall also apply.

    • 13.5. Quality of Service: The benefits of this Tariff Plan are meant solely for individual use. If, in our reasonable opinion we deem your use as being excessive, we may ask you to moderate your usage, as this may have repercussions on the quality of the network and service levels enjoyed by our other consumers. If after we have informed you to moderate your usage, you fail to do so, we reserve the right to charge you for the excessive element of your usage at your price plan's standard rate or to suspend or terminate your service in accordance with your airtime contract. Furthermore, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate your service if you abuse of the service and/or use it in a way for which it is not intended.
    • 13.6. We reserve the right to suspend indefinitely or for a definite period, amend/alter/delete or terminate these terms and conditions at any time (collectively the 'Modifications') and for any valid commercial, technical or operational reason, by giving you a 30 day prior written notice with the proposed amendments/alterations or stating the reason for the Modifications thereof. Should you disagree with the proposed Modifications during the 30-day time-period, you shall have the right to opt-out from your Tariff Plan without incurring any penalties by informing us of your decision to this effect. Vodafone Prepaid Traveller

  • 1. Migrate to our Vodafone Prepaid Traveller ('Traveller') and benefit from a Daily bundle consisting of minutes to call Malta, receiving calls, SMS to send to anywhere, Internet on Your Mobile and local rates for out of bundle usage when abroad within the ‘Traveller countries’ (Term 6).
  • 2. You may subscribe to Traveller as from 29th June 2012. The new revamped Traveller will start applying from the 18 th September 2018.
  • 3. Who can subscribe:
    Applicable for those of you subscribed to a Prepaid Plan (namely: Base Plan, Talk More, Talk All day, YU plan, Student Plan and MIX).
  • 4. How to subscribe:
  • 5. Vodafone Traveller Add-On: Upon subscribing to Traveller, you shall thereafter be charged a Daily Fee to benefit from a Daily bundle of minutes to call Malta, receiving calls, SMS to any destination, Internet on Your Mobile as well as from being beneficial rates for usage outside the bundle when travelling in the ‘Traveller Countries’ (Term 6).

    • 5.1. The applicable Daily charge when travelling in Traveller Countries is that of:
      • €6 per day when in Traveller Countries in Term 6

    • 7.2. If a call is made to any premium or satellite number when roaming, the standard premium and satellite rates shall apply. ( https://www.vodafone.com.mt/ratesbycountry)
    • 7.3. If travelling at Sea (example: cruise liners and ferries), the standard Maritime Roaming rates (https://www.vodafone.com.mt/maritimeroaming) will apply.
  • 8. Additional Traveller Information:
    • 8.1. You will incur the Daily charge upon receiving or making a call, sending an SMS or upon commencing a data session when roaming with Traveller in any country mentioned in the above Term 6. Hence the Daily charge will not be applied if:
      • the phone is not used for any service just mentioned,
      • roaming in any country not forming part of Traveller
      • using your phone in Malta
    • 8.2. The Daily Charge and Daily Bundle will be applied on a per day basis (from 00:00 till 23:59) Local (Malta’s time). A Daily Rate and a Daily Bundle will be applied once per day according to in which Traveller Zone the first chargeable activity is done. Unused minutes, SMS and Data cannot be carried over to the next day.
    • 8.3. You will automatically receive bundle usage notification upon 80% and 100% usage of any service in the bundle. You will also be able to check the bundle usage by sending a blank SMS to 16290 free of charge.
    • 8.4. No bill shock preventor/ data roaming limit notification is available on Traveller. The bill shock preventor/data roaming limit notification is available on the default Prepaid Vodafone World Rates ( https://www.vodafone.com.mt/ratesbycountry)

    • 8.8. The charges as published on www.vodafone.mt will apply to customers who have opted in to Traveller and use their phone when roaming on Vodafone or Vodafone approved networks in eligible countries as published on www.vodafone.mt. Vodafone reserves the right to change the countries and/or networks from time to time for commercial or geopolitical reasons; such changes will happen without notice and it is the customer’s responsibility to check prior to travel.
    • 8.9. Customers opted in to Traveller can decide to purchase roaming data services from third party operators. While roaming customers may connect to a network other than Vodafone’s preferred network in the particular country, provided that Vodafone has a roaming agreement in place with the operator. If they have purchased an alternative data roaming service, Traveller customers must contact Vodafone customer care to activate access to the network if that Network is not a Vodafone approved network. The customer must also manually switch their phone to this alternative network. If a customer has requested to be moved to a non-Vodafone or non-Vodafone preferred network for their data services, they will need to manually switch back to the Vodafone or Vodafone preferred network if they wish to avail of the Traveller pricing for their voice calls and texts. If a customer does not manually switch back to the Vodafone or Vodafone preferred network they will not be able to avail of the Traveller and related rates. In these circumstances the Customer will be charged at the default EU pricing rate for calls and texts made on the alternative network. These prices are published on www.vodafone.mt
  • 9. General Terms:
    • 9.1. Our Quality of Service term applies.

Vodafone Top-Up and Get Plans

  • 1. . Upon subscribing to Vodafone Malta Limited's ('we') prepaid base plan (the 'Plan') the customer ('you') shall also become eligible to benefit from any one of our 'Top Up & Get Plans' ('TUG Plans') which gives you a FREE added benefit for 30 days upon topping up with €10 or more.
  • 2. Our TUG Plans are available from Monday 15th October 2012. The Talk Non Stop and FreeWe Opt-Ins will not be available for new customers as from the 24th of May 2017.Customers currently subscribed to these Top up and Get plans and wish to opt-out will not be able to reapply for these TUG Plans.
  • 3. Our TUG Plans

    Evenings and Weekends Calls a. Top up with €10 and benefit from: 1000 minutes of calls to all Vodafone numbers during Evenings (Mon-Fri from 18:00hours to 08:00hours) AND Weekends (All Saturday and Sunday) AND Public Holidays AND 50MB of Internet. The internet allowance can be used in Malta and when travelling in EU;;
    OR
    b. Top up with €20 or more and benefit from 1000 minutes of calls to all Vodafone numbers during Evenings (Mon-Fri from 18:00hours to 08:00hours) AND Weekends (All Saturday and Sunday) AND Public Holidays AND 200MB of Internet. The internet allowance can be used in Malta and when travelling in EU;
    Talk Non Stop a. Top up with €10 and benefit from a special rate of €0.10c per call to all Vodafone numbers any time of the day AND 50MB of Internet. The internet allowance can be used in Malta and when travelling in EU;

    Any call lasting from 1 second for up to 2 hours shall be charged at a flat rate of €0.10c regardless of the duration
    • 3.1. All the above benefits are valid for 30days from your top-up.
  • 4. How to subscribe to our TUG Plans
    • 4.1. Subscribing to any TUG Plan is free of charge.
      • 4.1.1. For Evening and Weekend Calls TUG Plan just send an SMS, free of charge, with the word FREEWE to 16200;
    • 4.2. Upon topping-up with a €10 voucher or more, you shall benefit from the free benefits in accordance with term 3 above.
    • 4.3. Upon subscribing to any one of our TUG Plans you shall automatically be deemed as having accepted to adhere to these terms and conditions.
    • 4.4. Upon subscribing to any one of our TUG Plans you shall automatically be deemed as having accepted to adhere to these terms and conditions.
    • 4.5. You shall be automatically migrated onto our Plan if you are not already on our base plan, upon subscribing in accordance with this Term 4.
  • 5. Other terms & Conditions
    • 5.1. Upon expiry of your 30 day time window, you shall automatically lose any unused benefits, and you shall thereafter automatically be charged according to Our Vodafone Prepaid tariff plan.
      • 5.1.1. If, upon the expiration of the 30 day time-window, you would like to benefit once again from the same TUG Plan, you must top-up with a €10 voucher or more. Alternatively, you can opt to change your TUG Plan at any time in accordance with Term 4.1 above before you top up. If you change your TUG Plan prior to the expiration of the 30 day time-window, you shall automatically lose any remaining benefits.
      • 5.1.2. If you initiate a 30 day time window with a €10 top-up, you would have to top-up for the same TUG Plan with another €10 before the time-window expires in order to carry on any remaining benefits to the refreshed 30 day time window. Similarly, if you initiate a 30 day time window with a €20/€50 top-up, you would have to top-up for the same TUG Plan with another €20/€50 again before the window expires in order to carry on any remaining benefits to the following 30 day time window.
      • 5.1.3. If you use up all or any one of the benefits before the expiration of the 30 day time-window, you shall thereafter automatically be charged according to our Prepaid base plan, unless you top-up with a €10 voucher or more.
      • 5.1.4. You may check your remaining balance at any time by sending a free SMS to 16290.
    • 5.2. All TUG Plan benefits shall not apply on calls and/or SMSs made to non-Vodafone mobile numbers, and all applicable charges as per our Prepaid base Plan will apply. Furthermore, whilst subscribed to the Evenings and Weekend call TUG Plan, calls initiated on weekdays between 08:01hours and 17:59hours are charged as per our Prepaid base Plan.
    • 5.3. All TUG Plans apply strictly with our €10, €20 and €50 top-up vouchers. You will not benefit from any TUG Plan if you top-up with 2 €5 vouchers.
    • 5.4. You cannot benefit from multiple TUG Plans at the same time. Subscribing to one TUG Plan will automatically cancel any other TUG Plan which you might be benefiting from at the time.
    • 5.5. Roaming The TUG Plans in term 3 above can be consumed also when travelling in EU. Calls and SMSs to any Maltese or EU mobile/fixed number over your allowance and when travelling in EU countries are charged as per your local tariff plan rates (this excludes calls and SMSs to Premium numbers to both Maltese and EU numbers). Data sessions (Internet on your mobile) while roaming in EU countries shall be charged €0.99 per 200MB valid for one (1) calendar day, for the avoidance of doubt it is valid from 00:00 to 23:59 of the same day when the charge is triggered. Any remaining unutilised MBs shall not be carried forward upon the expiration day time-window. This Out of Bundle rate will commence once all the data allowance within the Plan is consumed and will continue to recur until a totality of 6.25GB. Any data above this limit will be charged at the rate of 2c/MB.
    • 5.6. The free benefits in either TUG Plan awarded must not exceed the limits stipulated in Term 3 above during the 30 day time window. Upon exceeding this amount, you will automatically stop benefiting from these benefits and you will automatically be migrated to the Plan. Any calls made thereafter will be charged according to our Prepaid Plan.
    • 5.7. To stop benefitting from any of the TUG Plans just send an SMS, free of charge, with the word STOPFREEBEE to 16200. Upon doing so, you would remain on our Prepaid Plan but would not be able to get any free benefits in accordance with term 3 above.
  • 6. General
    • 6.1. All prices and charges quoted herein are inclusive of VAT, but exclude any other taxes, which may be or may become applicable, unless otherwise explicitly stated.
    • 6.2. Those of you making use of a Blackberry® Smartphone need to subscribe to a Blackberry® license fee of €2, inclusive of VAT payable every 30 days. This license fee will allow you to access the Internet. To purchase the Blackberry® license fee, you must send a free SMS to 16200 with the word BB. Upon purchasing the fee, you will automatically be charged €2 every 30 days, which amount will be deducted from your credit. You may then opt to purchase any of our add-on Bundles that allocate Internet On Your Mobile.
    • 6.3. Our Quality of Service term applies.
    • 6.4. Terms and conditions, and any other of our relevant terms and conditions shall apply.
    • 6.5.     • 6.6. We reserve the right to suspend indefinitely or for a definite period, amend/alter/delete or terminate these Terms and Conditions and/or the TUG Plans at any time (collectively referred to as the 'Modifications') and for any valid commercial, technical or operational reason, by giving you a 30 day prior written notice with the proposed amendments/alterations or stating the reason for the suspension and/or termination thereof. Should you disagree with the Modifications during the 30 day time-period, you shall have the right to terminate your service or switch tariff plans without incurring any penalties, if applicable, by informing us of your decision to this effect. If not, you shall be deemed as having accepted such Modifications.

    • 5.3 If, upon the expiration of the twenty eight (28) day time-window, you would like to benefit once again from the same Offer, you must top-up with a €10 voucher or more.
    • 5.4 If you use up all or any one of the benefits as provided for in term 3 above before the expiration of the twenty eight (28) day time-window, you shall thereafter be charged according to the Vodafone Prepaid tariff plan default rates ( https://www.vodafone.com.mt/tc-payasyoutalk#freebeeprepaid), unless you top-up with a €10 voucher or more, in which case a new twenty eight (28) day time-window will start to run from the day of your subsequent top-up.
    • 5.5 You may check your remaining balance at any time by sending a free SMS to 16290.
    • 5.6 The Offer applies strictly with our €10, €20 and €50 top-up vouchers. You will not benefit from the Offer if you top-up with two (2) €5 vouchers.
    • 5.7 With this Offer you cannot benefit from any prepaid add-ons and other offers available at the time. Should you wish to purchase any prepaid add-on, you will be migrated out of the Offer. For the avoidance of any doubt, once migrated out of the Offer, you will not be able to migrate back.
  • 6. Roaming:
    • 6.1 Calls and SMSs to any Maltese or EU mobile/fixed number when travelling in EU countries are charged as per your local tariff plan rates (this excludes calls and SMSs to Premium numbers to both Maltese and EU numbers). Out of bundle data sessions (Internet on your mobile) while roaming in EU countries shall be charged at €0.99 per 200MB valid for one (1) calendar day will be applicable, for the avoidance of doubt it is valid from 00:00 to 23:59 of the same day when the charge is triggered. Any remaining unutilised MBs shall not be carried forward upon the expiration day time-window. This Out of Bundle rate will commence once all the data allowance within the Plan is consumed and will continue to recur until a totality of 6.25GB. Any data above this limit will be charged at the rate of 2c/MB.

  • 8. Opting-out of the Offer:
    • 8.1 To stop benefitting from the Offer:
      • 8.1.1 Either send an SMS, free of charge, with the word STOPFREEBEE to 16200. Upon doing so, you would be charged in accordance with the default Prepaid rates.
      • 8.1.2 Or subscribe to any other prepaid add-on or prepaid plan.
    • 8.2 Once you stop the Offer as per term 8.1 above, you will not be able to re-apply for the Offer.

  • Vodafone MIX 500 Units August 2020

    • 1. The Vodafone MIX 500 Units is offered by Vodafone Malta Limited ('we') to its new and existing prepaid customers ('you') under these terms and conditions (‘Specific Terms and Conditions’).
    • 2. You may subscribe to the Vodafone MIX 500 Units (‘MIX 500’/the ’Plan’) as from the 28th March 2018. This version of the Specific Terms and Conditions is applicable as from 6th August 2020.
    • 3. These Specific terms and conditions constitute a legally binding contract between you and us and must be read in conjunction with (i) Vodafone General Terms and Conditions, (ii) Vodafone Prepaid Plan Terms and Conditions (iii) Quality of Service term, (iv) 4G Service terms, and any other terms and conditions that might be referred therein. In the event of a conflict between any of the terms, the applicable precedence shall be the order in which the terms are mentioned in this term 3 (highest level of precedence first).
    • 4. Vodafone reserves the right to limit the number of the Plans offered to a single person/legal entity.
    • 5. The MIX 500:
      • 5.1 All rates and charges quoted below are inclusive of VAT but are exclusive of excise tax or any other taxes which may be applicable. This also applies to the Credit Left in your account as set out in term 6 below, which means that the actual amount added to your account will the amount quoted below deducted the excise tax or any other tax which may be applicable.
      • 5.2 You can benefit from the MIX 500 upon successfully signing up by using one of the methods described in term 7.2 below, followed by successful top up with at least €10 or more. For the avoidance of any doubt, the MIX 500 Plan can be only purchased upon successful top up with at least €10 or more. This means that you cannot purchase the MIX 500 Plan from your credit, including the Credit Left in account in accordance with the term 6 below.
    • 6. Mix 500 benefits:
      • 6.1 When benefiting from MIX 500 you will get the following:
        Vodafone MIX 500 Units:
        Minutes/SMS/Internet on your Mobile
        500 Units of Any Network Local Minutes/Any Network Local SMS/Internet.
        1 unit = 1 SMS or 1 Minute or 1MB

        + Credit left in main account depending on the topped up amount

        The Units can also be used whilst roaming in EU to call to any local or EU number/send SMS to any local or EU number/use data allowance
        Credit Left in account Upon successful top up the amount of €8.99 will be deducted and the following amounts will be left in your account:

        €0.63 left if topped up with €10
        €5.43 left if topped up with €15
        €10.24 left if topped up with €20
        €19.86 left if topped up with €30

        Extra Units - My Vodafone Account Get an Extra 500 Units when logged in and topping up from My Vodafone Account on My Vodafone App or Web page
        * Customers joining onto this Vodafone MIX 500 Plan between 10th December 2018 and 20th December 2018 will benefit from an Extra 1000 units. These units are to be used between the 21st December and 25th December. In the event that you top-up within the 28 days any unitized unused units will be accumulated. To benefit from this promo, you would need switch to the Vodafone MIX plan, opt-in to MIX 500 and then Top-Up with €10 or more.
      • 6.2 The Units provided in MIX 500 Bundle are for valid 4 weeks (for the avoidance of doubt, 28 days) and any unutilised Units shall be carried forward if you top up with at least € 10 within the 4 weeks’ window. The Units carried forward will be accumulated until you stop benefiting from MIX 500 as further described in term 6.3 below. Vodafone reserves the right to stop the accumulation of Units in accordance with term 10.2 below.
      • 6.3 Any remaining Units shall not be carried forward and forfeited if you unsubscribe and move to other MIX plan or any other prepaid plan or if the top-up is done after expiry of the 4 weeks’ window. Upon the expiration of the 4 weeks’ period,1-day before the expiration of the 4 weeks’ period & 2 hours before the expiration of the 4 weeks’ period you will receive an SMS notification whereby we inform you that the MIX 500 Units have expired or shall expire (as applicable). For the avoidance of doubt this does not apply to the Credit left in your account.
      • 6.4 If all the Units provided within MIX 500 are used up prior to the expiration of the 4 weeks’ period, you shall be charged according to the following Out of Bundle rates:
        Out of Bundle Rates (Local and EU) Calls/SMS: 25c per minute to call any local network (mobile and fixed lines)
        5c per SMS to any local network
        Data: €0.99 per 200MB valid for one (1) calendar day will be applicable. Any remaining unutilised MBs shall not be carried forward upon the expiration day time-window, for the avoidance of doubt it is valid from 00:00 to 23:59 of the same day when the charge is triggered. This Out of Bundle rate will commence once all the data allowance within the Plan is consumed and will continue to recur until a totality of 6.25GB. Any data above this limit will be charged at the rate of 2c/MB, unless you purchase an Add-On Bundle in accordance with term 9 below.
        *Customers joining onto this Vodafone MIX 500 Plan between 12th September 2018 and 31st October 2018 will benefit from one FREE Vodafone 500 Mix if they join on the Vodafone MIX 500 (see term 6 below) at no cost. To benefit from this promo you would need switch to the Vodafone MIX plan, visit one of Vodafone Stores to redeem the free MIX and then Top-Up with €10.
      • 6.5 You can monitor your usage by sending a blank SMS to 16290 from your mobile phone free of charge. You are hereby being advised that this only serves as guidance as it may not always be accurate. Therefore, should you exceed the Units allowed in your Plan, you will still be liable for all access charges.
      • 6.6 Roaming. You can benefit from MIX 500 whilst roaming in the EU as described in in this term 6 above. The EU roaming benefits provided with this Plan are subject to the Fair Use Policy in line with the EU Regulations further explained under Term 13.2 of General Terms and Conditions. Refer to Rates by Country for more information on charges when roaming outside of the EU.
    • 7. How to benefit from MIX 500:
      • 7.1. In order to benefit from MIX 500, you need to:
        • 7.1.1. successfully sign up by using one of the methods described in term 7.2 below
        • 7.1.2. successfully top up your account with at least €10 or more.
      • 7.2. How to sign up to MIX 500:
        Sign up by logging in to My Vodafone Account using My Vodafone App.
        OR
        by logging in to My Vodafone Account using My Vodafone Web
        OR
        Sending a SMS to 16200 from the Mobile number you wish to subscribe, writing M500
        OR
        Visit one of our retail stores or call us on 247 from your handset.
      • 7.3. Upon signing up to MIX 500, we shall send you a verification SMS confirming your successful subscription. You will be automatically switched on to MIX 500 upon such confirmation.
      • 7.4. Upon subscribing to MIX 500 and topping up as described in term 7.1, you will automatically lose any unused benefits that you were benefitting from your previous plan.
      • 7.5. In the event that you use your mobile handset before receiving the SMS notification confirming your successful subscription and prior to topping up with up at least €10 or more to MIX 500, you shall automatically be charged according to the plan you would be subscribed to prior to this subscription.
      • 7.6 The MIX 500 Units will be assigned once a successful top up with at least €10 or more is completed. If the top-up is done by logging in your My Vodafone Account on My Vodafone App or My Vodafone Webpage you will benefit from 500 Extra Units above the standard 500 Units. For avoidance of doubt, should you top up by any other method which is not through My Vodafone App or My Vodafone Web Top Up ( i.e. My Vodafone App or Web but not logged in/using a Top-up voucher/ATM etc.) you will only be assigned the MIX 500 Units, and no Extra Units will be assigned.

    • 8. How to unsubscribe from MIX 500:

      • 8.1. You may unsubscribe from MIX 500 at any time without forfeiting the unused benefits until the original expiry date. However, should you subscribe to another plan whilst benefiting from MIX 500, the MIX 500 Units will be forfeited as explained in term 8.2 below.
      • 8.2. You may only benefit from one (1) prepaid plan at a time. If you decide to subscribe to any other prepaid plan offered by us or to any Top Up and Get plan or add-on bundle that is not compatible with this MIX 500, whilst being subscribed to this Plan, you shall automatically stop benefiting from the MIX 500 and you will lose any unused MIX 500 Units.
      • 8.3. If you decide to purchase a different MIX Plan prior to the expiration of your current MIX 500, the remaining unused Units of your current MIX 500 will be lost.
    • 9. Additional Add-On Bundles (‘Add-Ons’) available with MIX 500
      • 9.1. All charges deriving from these Add-Ons are inclusive of VAT but exclude any other additional tax.
      • 9.2. The Add-Ons in term 9.5 below can be purchased and stopped by one of the below methods:
        • 9.2.1. By sending a FREE SMS to 16200 with the text indicated in the respective columns as per term 9.5 below OR

      • 9.3. Add-Ons will automatically recur upon expiry date of validity period and upon payment.

    • 10. General Information on this Plan
      • 10.1. When you subscribe to this Plan, you are automatically accepting to adhere to these Specific Terms and Conditions.
      • 10.2. We reserve the right to suspend indefinitely or for a definite period, amend/alter/delete or terminate these terms and conditions at any time (collectively the 'Modifications'), by giving you a 30 calendar days’ prior written notice with the proposed amendments/alterations or stating the reason for the Modifications thereof. In case that such changes are approved and considered to be inherently beneficial by the Malta Communication Authority in accordance with applicable laws, we will inform you about the changes by giving you a 1-day prior notice and term 10.2 above will not apply.
      • 10.4. If you are using a Blackberry® Easyphone, you need to subscribe to a Blackberry® license fee of €2, inclusive of VAT payable every 30 days. This license fee will allow you to access internet from your Blackberry device. To purchase the Blackberry® license fee, you must send a free SMS to 16200 with the word ‘BB’. Upon purchasing the license fee, you shall automatically be charged €2 every 30 days, which amount will be deducted from your mobile credit. Should you wish to stop purchasing the Blackberry® license fee, you must send a free SMS to 16200 with the word ‘STOPBB’.
      • 10.5. You are advised to visit our website, call our Customer Care on 247, send us an email on 247.mt@vodafone.com or visit one of our retail outlets, to purchase or learn more about this Plan.

      • 9.6 You may opt out of the Add-Ons at any time. Upon opting out, the Add-On shall not recur after the validity of the Add-On expires. For the avoidance of any doubt, once opted out, you shall not forfeit any remaining benefits from the Add-On throughout the respective validity period.
      • 9.7 If the benefits within the Add-Ons are used up prior to the expiration of the respective validity period, you may opt to purchase another Add-On through the methods described in term 9.2.
      • 9.8 Any remaining benefits from your Add-On will not be carried forward upon the expiration of the respective Add-On time-window.
    • 10. General Information on this Plan
      • 10.1 When you subscribe to this Plan, you are automatically accepting to adhere to these Specific Terms and Conditions.
      • 10.2 We reserve the right to suspend indefinitely or for a definite period, amend/alter/delete or terminate these terms and conditions at any time (collectively the 'Modifications'), by giving you a 30 calendar days’ prior written notice with the proposed amendments/alterations or stating the reason for the Modifications thereof. Should you disagree with the proposed Modifications during the 30-day time-period, you shall have the right to opt-out from your Tariff Plan by informing us of your decision to this effect without incurring any penalties for early termination of your Tariff Plan, as may be applicable. Your continued use of the service after the expiration of the 30-day time-period signifies your acceptance of any amendment.
      • 10.3 From time to time we may modify the standard settings and/or features of your Plan to offer an additional value. Such changes might include increasing your data, voice or text allowances or improving your connectivity speeds. In case that such changes are approved and considered to be inherently beneficial by the Malta Communication Authority in accordance with applicable laws, we will inform you about the changes by giving you a 1-day prior notice and term 11.2 above will not apply.
      • 10.4 If you are using a Blackberry® Easyphone, you need to subscribe to a Blackberry® license fee of €2, inclusive of VAT payable every 30 days. This license fee will allow you to access internet from your Blackberry device. To purchase the Blackberry® license fee, you must send a free SMS to 16200 with the word ‘BB’. Upon purchasing the license fee, you shall automatically be charged €2 every 30 days, which amount will be deducted from your mobile credit. Should you wish to stop purchasing the Blackberry® license fee, you must send a free SMS to 16200 with the word ‘STOPBB’.

    Vodafone Talk More

    • 1. Vodafone Malta Limited’s (‘We’/’Us’/’Our’) prepaid customers (‘You’/’Your’) have the opportunity to migrate to Our Talk More tariff plan (the ‘Tariff’) by sending an SMS to 16200 with the word ‘MORE’ or by calling 247 from Your mobile handset.
    • 2. This Tariff shall be launched and shall be effective as from the 28th March 2010.
    • 3. Upon subscribing to the Tariff as per Term 1 above:-
      i. You shall be migrated to this Tariff within 24 hours; and
      ii. You shall benefit from a flat rate of €0.30c per hour chargeable every 60 minutes or part thereof when calling any local Vodafone mobile number and any local landline. This means that any voice call made to any Vodafone mobile number and any local landline lasting up to 60 minutes shall be charged at a flat rate of €0.30c.
      • 3.1. Any voice call shall be terminated automatically upon reaching the threshold of 120 minutes on 1 voice call.
      • 3.2. Any voice calls made to any other local mobile network shall be charged at the rate of €0.30c per minute on a 30 second basis. This means that any voice call made to any other local mobile network lasting up to 30 seconds shall be charged at a flat rate of €0.15c.
    • 4. The rates stipulated in term 3 above shall also apply to call any Maltese or EU mobile/fixed number when roaming in EU countries (this excludes calls and SMSs to Premium numbers both Maltese and EU).
    • 5. Data usage on this plan whilst in Malta or when travelling in the EU will be charged at €0.99 per 200MB valid for one (1) calendar day, for the avoidance of doubt it is valid from 00:00 to 23:59 of the same day when the charge is triggered. Any remaining unutilised MBs shall not be carried forward upon the expiration day time-window. This Out of Bundle rate will commence once all the data allowance within the Plan is consumed and will continue to recur until a totality of 6.25GB. Any data above this limit will be charged at the rate of 2c/MB.
    • 6. All charges deriving from this plan include VAT and any other applicable taxes, unless otherwise explicitly stated.
    • 7. You may opt out of this Tariff at any time, free of charge, by calling Our Customer Care on 247 or by visiting one of Our retail outlets.

    Vodafone YU 2020

    • 1. TThe Vodafone YU 2020 Plan (‘YU 2020 Plan’/the ’Plan’) is a prepaid plan offered by Vodafone Malta Limited ('we') to its new and existing prepaid customers ('you') under these terms and conditions (‘Specific Terms and Conditions’).
    • 2. You may subscribe to the Vodafone YU 2020 Plan as from the 6th August 2020. This version of the Specific Terms and Conditions is applicable as from 1st October 2020.
    • 3. These Specific Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding contract between you and us and must be read in conjunction with: (i) Quality of Service term, (ii) Vodafone General Terms and Conditions, (iii) 4G Terms and Conditions and any other terms and condition that might be referred therein. In the event of a conflict between any of the terms, the applicable precedence shall be the order in which the terms are mentioned in this term 3 (highest level of precedence first). These Specific Terms and Conditions must be also read in conjunction with Vodafone Privacy Policy, Vodafone Traffic Management Policy and Acceptance Usage Policy.
    • 4. Vodafone reserves the right to limit the number of the Plans offered to a single person
    • 5. Who can subscribe:
      • 5.1. The Vodafone YU 2020 Plan is offered exclusively to customers under the age of 25 years. In order to subscribe to this Plan, you need to provide us with evidence that you are under the age of 25 years old and we reserve the right to verify your age throughout the duration of your subscription. In case you fail to provide us with a sufficient evidence that you are younger than 25 years.In cases where it is determined that you are subscribed to this Tariff Plan/Options in breach of these terms and conditions, we reserve the right to migrate you from this Tariff Plan/Options to the default pre-paid tariff plan available at the time. You shall receive a prior notification stating that you have been migrated off this Tariff Plan/Option.
    • 6. The Vodafone YU 2020:
      All rates and charges quoted below are inclusive of VAT but are exclusive of excise tax or any other taxes which may be applicable, unless provided otherwise.
      • 6.1. You can benefit from the Vodafone YU 2020 Plan upon successfully signing up by using one of the methods described in term 7 below. Once you are signed up to the Vodafone YU 2020 Plan, you can activate the YU 2020/ YU+ 2020 (collectively ‘YU Options’; each individually ‘YU Option’’) upon successfully topping up and to avail yourself from the benefits described in the Table 1 below (depending on the top-up amount).
      • 6.2. For the avoidance of any doubt, the YU Options are only triggered by the successful top-up and you cannot purchase any of YU Options from your credit, including the Credit Left in account as set out in Table 1 below.

The benefits provided with each Option are valid for the duration of the Validity Period set out in Table 1 above, unless you top up with the same Top Up Trigger amount whilst your YU Option is still valid (see point 1 below). This means that there are two possible scenarios depending on the amount and time of your next Top Up
        • 6.3.1. Top up with the same Top Up Trigger amount whilst your YU Option is still valid (see Validity Period in Table 1 above)
          • a. Any remaining benefits will be carried forward and can be used during your next Validity Period
          • b. Example: Day 1 you top-up €10 and you get YU 2020 which expires on Day 28. On Day 12 you top-up again with €10; this will trigger YU 2020 again with all its benefits, and you will also keep any unused data from your previous YU 2020 Option during your new Validity Period.
        • 6.3.2. Topping up with different Top Up Trigger amount whilst your YU Option is still valid (see Validity Period in Table 1 above)
          • a. The benefits provided with your 1st YU Option will remain valid and available until the expiry of its Validity Period; once its Validity Period expires any remaining benefits from the 1st Option will be lost. This means that upon such expiry, or in case you use all the remaining benefits from the 1st Option, you can start using the benefits provided with the 2nd Option.
          • b. Example: Day 1 you top-up €10 and you get YU 2020 which expires on Day 28. On Day 12 you top-up again with €15 and YU+ 2020 is provided. Between Day 12 and Day 14 your options will accumulate. On Day 14 any remaining benefits form the YU 2020 Option will be removed and you will continue benefiting from the 2nd YU Option benefits.
      • 6.4. Should the Validity Period of your YU Option expire any remaining unused benefits will be forfeited upon such expiration. For the avoidance of doubt, this does not apply to the Credit left in your account which will remain available. Upon the expiration of the Validity Period, 1-day before the expiration of the 4 weeks’ period & 2 hours before the expiration of the 4 weeks’ period you will receive an SMS notification whereby we inform you that the YU Option has expired or shall expire (as applicable) and any unused benefits has therefore been lost.
      • 6.5. Out of Bundle Rates
        In case:
        • a. your YU Option has expired; or
        • b. you have consumed all the benefits provided with your YU Option; or
        • c. you have signed up to YU 2020 Plan;

        and you have not topped up with €10 or more to trigger another YU Option, the rates set out in Table 2 below shall apply. For the avoidance of any doubt, the rates set out in Table 2 apply also to any out of bundle usage, i.e. usage of services that are not included in the benefits provided with the YU Options (as stated in Table 1).

      • 6.7. You can monitor your usage by sending a blank SMS to 16290 from your mobile phone free of charge. You are hereby being advised that this only serves as guidance as it may not always be accurate. Therefore, should you exceed the data allowance provided with your Option; you will still be liable for all charges for out of bundle usage.
      • 6.8. Roaming You can benefit from YU Option whilst roaming in the EU as described in in Table 1 above or from the YU 2020 Plans’ Out of Bundle rates set out in Table 2. The EU roaming benefits provided with this Plan are subject to the Fair Use Policy in line with the EU Regulations further explained under Term 13.2 of General Terms and Conditions. Refer to Rates by Country for more information on charges when roaming outside of the EU.
    • 7. How to benefit from one of the YU Options:
      • 7.1. In order to benefit from YU Options, you need to:
        • 7.1.1. Successfully sign up by using one of the methods described in term 7.2 below
        • 7.1.2. Successfully top up your account with at least €10 or more.
      • 7.2. How to sign up:

        Sign up Step 1: Joining the YU 2020 Plan
        By logging in to My Vodafone Account using Vodafone Website and successfully registering on the YU 2020 Plan. For the avoidance of any doubt to register, you would need to pass the age verification.
        OR
        Visiting one of our retail stores and presenting a valid identification documentation to confirm age validation.

        OR
        Sending a SMS to 16200 from the Mobile number you wish to subscribe, writing ‘YU2020
      • 7.3. Upon signing up to YU 2020 Plan, we shall send you a verification SMS confirming your successful subscription. You will be automatically switched on to YU 2020 Plan upon such confirmation. In the event that the sign-up is done through the My Vodafone Web, upon passing the age verification step you will be automatically switched on to YU 2020 Plan and the YU 2020 Plan Opt-In is assigned upon such confirmation.
      • 7.4. In the event that you use your mobile handset before receiving the SMS notification confirming your successful sign-up to YU 2020 Plan, you shall automatically be charged according to the plan you would be subscribed to prior to initiating the signing up.
      • 7.5. Once you sign-up to the YU 2020 Plan the Out of Bundle rates set out in term 6 above shall apply.
      • 7.6. Upon signing up to Vodafone YU Plan, you will automatically lose any unused benefits that you were benefitting from your previous plan.
    • 8. How to benefit from one of the YU Options:
      • 8.1. In order to benefit from one of the YU Options, you need to Successfully sign up to the YU 2020 Plan by using one of the methods described in term 7 above and successfully topping up your account with a credit equal to the Top Up Trigger of Option selected by you (refer to the Top Up Triggers listed in term 6.2 above).
      • Step 2: Signing-Up to one of the YU Options explained in Table 1 above
        You can choose between one of the below options:
        By logging in to My Vodafone Account using My Vodafone Web and sign up for YU 2020 or YU+ 2020 through the website
        OR
        Visit one of our retail stores
      • 8.2. The YU Option benefits will be assigned once a successful top up is completed.
    • 9. How to unsubscribe from YU Options: Options:

      • Unsubscribe Send an SMS with ‘STOPYU2020’ to 16200
      • 9.1. You may unsubscribe from YU 2020 Plan at any time. Unsubscribing from the YU 2020 Plan by sending the SMS text provided in this term, will automatically mean that you are opting-out of both the YU 2020 Plan and the YU Options. For the avoidance of any doubt, this is applicable for all Options. Upon successfully unsubscribing you will be placed on the Vodafone Base Plan subject to Vodafone Base Plan Terms and Conditions.
      • 9.2. Should you subscribe to another prepaid or post-paid plan whilst benefiting from one of the YU Option any benefits provided with such Option will be forfeited as explained in term 6 above. Once opted in to the YU 2020 Plan, you may switch between the YU Options at any time depending on the top-up amount as explained in term 6.3 above and the benefits may remain valid as explained in term 6.3 above.
      • 9.3. If you, whilst being subscribed to the YU 2020 Plan, decide to subscribe to any other prepaid plan offered by us or to any Top Up and Get plan or add-on bundle that is not compatible with the YU 2020 Plan, you shall automatically stop benefiting from the YU 2020 Plan and your YU Option and any unused benefits of such Option shall be lost.
    • 10. Additional Add-On Bundles (‘Add-Ons’) available with YU Options (if applicable)
      • 10.1. All charges deriving from these Add-On bundles are inclusive of VAT but exclude any other additional tax. For the full list of add-ons available with the YU options visit the Bundles page
    • 11. General Information on this Plan

    Vodafone Genius Expert

    • 1. The Vodafone Genius Expert (‘Genius Expert’) is a Hybrid Plan offered by Vodafone Malta Limited ('we') to its new and existing customers ('you') under these terms and conditions (‘Specific Terms and Conditions’).
    • 2. You may subscribe to the Genius Expert as from the 4th December 2019. This version of the Specific Terms and Conditions is applicable as from 4th December 2019.
    • 3. These Specific Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding contract between you and us and must be read in conjunction with: (i) Quality of Service term, (ii) Vodafone General Terms and Conditions, and any other term and condition that might be referred therein. In the event of a conflict between any of the terms, the applicable precedence shall be the order in which the terms are mentioned in this term 3 (highest level of precedence first).

    • 7. Genius Expert:
      • 7.1. You can benefit from the Genius Expert upon successfully signing an agreement for a minimum term of three (3) months (‘Agreement’). Following the expiry of your Agreement, unless you otherwise notify us in writing, you shall remain subscribed to the Genius Expert and benefit from a recurring bundle (see Table 1 below).
      • 7.2. Once you sign-up to Genius Expert, you will automatically switch to the Vodafone Hybrid Plan (‘Hybrid Plan’). Once on the Hybrid Plan and upon signing the agreement, Genius Expert will be assigned, which recurs every 28 days as mentioned in table 1 below. Once Genius Expert is assigned your download and upload speeds will automatically decrease to 2Mbps giving you the experience explained in the speed guide, and the out of Genius Expert rates set out in Table 2 below shall apply.
      • 7.3. In order to avail of the Genius Expert, you agree that the monthly fee shall be paid by Direct Debit. This means that the monthly fee mentioned below will be deducted from your bank/credit card every 28 days and you hereby authorise Vodafone to do so. Upon a successful payment, the benefits mentioned below will be assigned. We reserve the right to apply a charge of five euro (€5) for each occasion a Direct Debit payment fails provided the failure is not caused by us. It is your responsibility to update us with any changes to your bank/credit card account details as may be necessary to avoid that the payments fail. You cannot purchase the Genius Expert by topping up your account or by using the Credit Left in your account.
      • 7.4. Once you are signed up to the Genius Expert and upon successful payment of €20 each month as per term 7.3 above, you will benefit from the below recurring Genius Expert Benefits (‘Bundle’):

      • 7.5. The benefits provided with the Genius Expert are valid for the duration of the Validity Period set out in Table 1 above.       • 7.6. If you do not use up the allocated Bundle within any given month, the remaining minutes/SMSs/data should be carried forward to the following month.
    • 8. Rates outside Genius Expert and Information on Charges
      • 8.1. All rates and charges quoted below are inclusive of VAT and excise tax.
      • 8.2. For the avoidance of any doubt the rates in Table 2 below should apply only if:
        • 8.2.1. During the 28 days validity Genius Expert is depleted and before the repurchase happens.
        • As mentioned in term 11 below Genius Expert fails to be repurchased and you are automatically placed on the Hybrid Plan. For the avoidance of any doubt this refers to the grace period before your service is barred, as explained below in term 11.

        The above rates apply for any usage done towards any other local number (mobile and fixed), EU to other EU number (mobile and fixed) and also from EU towards Maltese numbers (mobile and fixed). For calls done from Malta towards EU (mobile and fixed lines) the rate of 22c per minute applies whilst for SMS sent from Malta towards EU the rate of 7c per SMS applies.

        3. Data: 99c per 200MB valid for one (1) calendar day will be applicable. Any remaining unused MBs shall not be carried forward upon the expiration day time-window, for the avoidance of doubt it is valid from 00:00 to 23:59 of the same day when the charge is triggered. This Out of Bundle rate will commence once all the data allowance within the Plan is consumed and will continue to recur until a totality of 6.25GB. Any data above this limit will be charged at the rate of 2c/MB, unless you purchase an Add-On Bundle listed in Table 3 below.
      • 8.3. You can monitor your usage by sending a blank SMS to 16290 from your mobile phone free of charge. You are hereby being advised that this only serves as guidance as it may not always be accurate. Therefore, should you exceed the data allowance provided with your Genius Expert; you will still be liable for all charges for out of bundle usage.
      • 8.4. Roaming: You can benefit from Genius Expert whilst roaming in the EU as described in in Table 1 above or from the Genius Expert’ Out of Bundle rates set out in Table 2. The EU roaming benefits provided with Genius Expert are subject to the Fair Use Policy in line with the EU Regulations further explained under Term 13.2 of General Terms and Conditions. Refer to Rates by Country for more information on charges when roaming outside of the EU.
      • 8.5. International Calls are not consumed from Genius Expert . Please visit https://www.vodafone.com.mt/internationalrates-prepaid for more information about International Call charges.

    • 9. How to sign up to the Genius Expert:

      • Sign up Visit one of our retail stores with your ID Card and/or Passport
      • 9.1. Upon signing up the Agreement as explained in term 7, we shall:
        • 9.1.1. Switch you to the Hybrid Plan and we should send you a verification SMS confirming that your sign up to Hybrid Plan was successful.
        • 9.1.2. Upon receiving this verification SMS you shall provide us with you Bank Details, so that we link them with your account, as explained in term 7 above.
        • 9.1.3. Following confirmation of the bank details, Genius Expert and the respective benefits stated in Table 1 above will be automatically purchased via Direct Debit Mandate (DDM) and assigned.
        • 9.1.4. Genius Expert will recur according to Validity Period explained in table 1 above,
      • 9.2. In the event that you use your mobile handset before receiving the SMS notification confirming your successful sign-up to Genius Expert, you shall automatically be charged according to the plan you would be subscribed to prior to initiating the signing up.
      • 9.3. Upon signing up to Hybrid Plan, you will automatically lose any unused benefits that you were benefitting from your previous plan.
    • 10. Additional Add-On Bundles (‘Add-Ons’) available with Genius Expert:
      • 10.1. All charges deriving from any available Add-On bundles are inclusive of VAT but exclude any other additional tax.
    • 11. Disconnections, Migrations and Other Fees
      • 11.1. When you subscribe to this Plan, you are automatically accepting to adhere to these Specific Terms and Conditions.
        • Termination/Downgrades

      • 11.2. Subject to the Penalty Fee, your Agreement can be terminated as:
        • 11.2.1. A voluntary termination:- applies where you opt to terminate your Agreement before its expiry date. If you wish to migrate onto another prepaid plan or onto a pay monthly plan, this Agreement must first be terminated and you must pay the penalty and any other charges which may be applicable. You may terminate your Agreement by visiting one of our outlets.
        • 11.2.2. A financial termination:- termination of your Agreement by way of breach of the payment terms due to failure to comply with the payment of your Monthly Charge. For the avoidance of any doubt term this also applies if:
          • a. The bundle/fee was not purchased/deducted because your bank card expired.
          • b. The bundle/fee was not purchased/deducted because you do not have sufficient credit in your bank card.
          • b. The bundle/fee was not purchased/deducted because of any other problem in your bank card, alongside with the ones mentioned above.
      • 11.3.
      • 11.4. The Fee shall be automatically deducted from your mobile credit. If you do not have enough credit in your mobile to cover the Fee, we will keep trying for 28 days (‘grace period’), where we will be notifying you every 7 days that your repurchase was not successful. The line will automatically be barred as explained in term 11.5 below, once the grace period is over. Once a top up is made during this grace period, an automatic payment to the outstanding amount is made. Line will be unbarred once balance has been paid in full. Outstanding balance can also be paid by visiting one of our outlets.
      • 11.5. Failure to repurchase during the first 3 months: Once the bundle is not repurchased due to one of the reasons mentioned above you will put on the Hybrid Plan and the rates mentioned in term 8 shall apply. Should you fail to settle your payment during the grace period and the payment is reversed, due to insufficient funds, your line should be barred according to term 3.2 of the General Terms and Conditions. The services barred include Voice (incoming & outgoing) and SMS (incoming & outgoing). To unbar the service, you need to visit one of our stores.
      • 11.6. Failure to repurchase during the first 3 months: Once the bundle is not repurchased due to one of the reasons mentioned above you will put on the Hybrid Plan and the rates mentioned in term 8 shall apply. Should you fail to settle your payment once your grace period is over and the payment is reversed, due to insufficient funds, you will be automatically removed from the Hybrid Plan and you would need to sign a new agreement to benefit again from the benefits mentioned in term 7.4.
      • 11.7. You may terminate your Agreement within 15 days from the date of signature, without incurring any fees.
    • 12. Upgrades and Renewals
    • 13. General Information on this Plan
      • 13.1. When you subscribe to this Plan, you are automatically accepting to adhere to these Specific Terms and Conditions.
      • 13.2. We reserve the right to suspend indefinitely or for a definite period, amend/alter/delete or terminate these terms and conditions at any time (collectively the 'Modifications'), by giving you a 30 calendar days’ prior written notice with the proposed amendments/alterations or stating the reason for the Modifications thereof. Should you disagree with the proposed Modifications during the 30-day time-period, you shall have the right to opt-out from your Tariff Plan by informing us of your decision to this effect without incurring any penalties for early termination of your Tariff Plan, as may be applicable. Your continued use of the service after the expiration of the 30-day time-period signifies your acceptance of any amendment.
      • 13.3. From time to time we may modify the standard settings and/or features of your Plan to offer an additional value. Such changes might include increasing your data, voice or text allowances or improving your connectivity speeds. In case that such changes are approved and considered to be inherently beneficial by the Malta Communication Authority in accordance with applicable laws, we will inform you about the changes by giving you a 1-day prior notice and term 13.2 above will not apply.
      • 13.4. If you are using a Blackberry® Easyphone, you need to subscribe to a Blackberry® license fee of €2, inclusive of VAT payable every 30 days. This license fee will allow you to access internet from your Blackberry device. To purchase the Blackberry® license fee, you must send a free SMS to 16200 with the word ‘BB’. Upon purchasing the license fee, you shall automatically be charged €2 every 30 days, which amount will be deducted from your mobile credit. Should you wish to stop purchasing the Blackberry® license fee, you must send a free SMS to 16200 with the word ‘STOPBB’.
      • 13.5. You are advised to visit our website, send us an email on 247.mt@vodafone.com or visit one of our retail outlets, to purchase or learn more about this Plan. Further support on prepaid plans is available at Vodafone.com.mt/support. Mobile data speeds may vary from time to time due to contention ratios on the network and other factors outside our control, which include dependency on the network coverage as well as on your device.     Genius May 2020

    • 1. The Vodafone Genius Plan (‘Genius Plan’/the ’Plan’) is a prepaid plan offered by Vodafone Malta Limited ('we') to its new and existing prepaid customers ('you') under these terms and conditions (‘Specific Terms and Conditions’).
    • 2. You may subscribe to the Genius Plan as from the 27th June 2019. This version of the Specific Terms and Conditions is applicable as from 10th June 2020.
    • 3. These Specific Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding contract between you and us and must be read in conjunction with: (i) Quality of Service term, (ii) Vodafone General Terms and Conditions, and any other term and condition that might be referred therein. In the event of a conflict between any of the terms, the applicable precedence shall be the order in which the terms are mentioned in this term 3 (highest level of precedence first).
    • 4. These Specific Terms and Conditions must be read in conjunction with Vodafone Privacy Policy Vodafone Traffic Management Policy Acceptance Usage Policy.
    • 5. Vodafone reserves the right to limit the number of the Plans offered to a single person/legal entity.
    • 6. All rates and charges quoted below are inclusive of VAT but are exclusive of excise tax or any other taxes which may be applicable, unless provided otherwise.
    • 7. Genius Plan and Genius Options:
      • 7.1. You can benefit from the Genius Plan upon successfully signing up by using one of the methods described in term 8 below. Once you sign-up to the Genius Plan your download and upload speeds will automatically decrease to 2Mbps giving you the experience explained in the speed guide, and the out of bundle rates set out in Table 2 below shall apply.
      • 7.2.Once you are signed up to the Genius Plan, you can activate the Genius 2.5GB/Genius 5GB/Genius 10GB (collectively ‘Genius Options’; each individually ‘Genius Option’’) upon successfully topping up and avail yourself from the benefits described in the Table 1 below (depending on the top-up amount).
      • 7.3. For the avoidance of any doubt, the Genius Options are only triggered by the successful top-up and you cannot purchase any of Genius Options from your credit, including the Credit Left in account as set out in Table 1 below.
      • Table 1: Genius 2.5GB/Genius 5GB/Genius 10GB Options benefits:
      • 1. Discount on Price of the following Options: The Price of Genius 5GB Option will discounted to €10.99 instead of €13.99 meaning that when topping up with €15, €10.99 will be deducted and €3.43 will remain in your main account. The Price of the Genius 10GB Option will be discounted to €17.99 instead of €18.99 meaning that when topping up with €20, €17.99 will be deducted and €1.24 will remain in your account. In the event that you top-up with €30, €17.99 will be deducted and €10.86 will remain in your main account. When topping-up with €50, €17.99 will be deducted and €30.09 will remain in your main account.
      • i.Customers joining the Genius 2.5GB will get an extra 2.5GB every time they top-up
      • ii.Customers joining the Genius 5GB will get an extra 5GB every time they top-up
      • iii.Customers joining the Genius 10GB will get an extra 10GB every time they top-up

      *Summer Promo Offer: As a summer promo offer, we are offering double data to any customers subscribing, joining or migrating to Genius Plan and opting for either Genius 2.5GB, 5GB or 10GB between the 10th June 2020 until 30th November 2020 (”Promotional Period”) unless extended further by us. During the Promotional Period:

      Validity? Customers can benefit from the Summer Promo Offer during the Promotional Period. For the avoidance of doubt, customers who during the Promotional Period top-up and satisfy the criteria listed in Clause 7 will benefit from the Summer Promo Offer.

      How do I benefit? Simple! Anyone joining, subscribing or migrating during the Promotional Period will benefit from the extra data allowance every time they top-up during said Promotional Period with the top-up triggers listed in clause 7.


    • 7.4.The benefits (Data allowance & Vodafone minutes) provided with each Option are valid for the duration of the Validity Period set out in Table 1 above, unless you top up with the same Top Up Trigger amount whilst your Genius Option is still valid (see point 1 below). This means that there are two scenarios that apply to your benefits depending on the amount and time of your next Top Up:
      • i) Top up with the same Top Up Trigger amount whilst your Genius Option is still valid (see Validity Period in Table 1 above)
        • a. Any remaining benefits will be carried forward and can be used during your next Validity Period
        • b. Example: Day 1 you top-up €10 and you get Genius 2.5GB which expires in Day 28. On Day 26 you top-up again with €10; this will trigger Genius 2.5GB again, and you will also keep any unused data from your previous Genius 2.5GB Option and can be used whilst the 2nd Option is valid.
      • ii) Topping up with different Top Up Trigger amount whilst your Genius Option is still valid (see Validity Period in Table 1 above)
        • a. The benefits provided with your 1st Genius Option will remain valid and available until the expiry of its Validity Period; once its Validity Period expires any remaining benefits from the 1st Option will be lost. This means that upon such expiry, or in case you use all the remaining benefits from the 1st Option, you can start using the benefits provided with the 2nd Option.
        • b. Example: Day 1 you top-up €10 and you get Genius 2.5GB which expires on Day 28. On Day 26 you top-up again with €15 and Genius 5GB is provided. Between Day 26 and Day 28 your options will accumulate. On Day 28 any remaining benefits form the 2.5GB Genius Option will be removed and you will continue benefiting from the 2nd Genius Option benefits.
    • 7.5. Should the Validity Period of your Genius Option expire any remaining unused benefits will be forfeited upon the expiration of the Validity Period of your Option. For the avoidance of doubt, this does not apply to the Credit left in your account which will remain available. Upon the expiration of the Validity Period,,1-day before the expiration of the 4 weeks’ period & 2 hours before the expiration of the 4 weeks’ period you will receive an SMS notification whereby we inform you that the Genius Option has expired or shall expire (as applicable) and any unused data has therefore been lost.
    • 7.6. In case:
      • a. your Genius Option has expired; or
      • b. you have consumed all the benefits provided with your Genius Option; or
      • c. you have signed up to Genius Plan;
      and you have not topped up with €10 or more to trigger another Genius Option, the rates shall set out in Table 2 shall apply. For the avoidance of any doubt, the rates set out in Table 2 apply also to any out of bundle usage, i.e. usage of services that are not included in the benefits provided with the Genius Options (as stated in Table 1).


    • Table 2: Out of Bundle Rates

      • SMS: 5c per SMS.

    • 8. How to sign up to the Genius Plan:

      Sending a SMS to 16200 from the Mobile number you wish to subscribe, writing ‘YES’
      OR
      Visit one of our retail stores with your ID Card and Passport
      • 8.1. Upon signing up to Genius Plan, we shall send you a verification SMS confirming that your sign up was successful. You will be automatically switched on to Genius Plan upon such confirmation.
      • 8.2. In the event that you use your mobile handset before receiving the SMS notification confirming your successful sign-up to Genius Plan, you shall automatically be charged according to the plan you would be subscribed to prior to initiating the signing up.
      • 8.3. Once you sign-up to the Genius Plan your speed will automatically decrease to 2Mbps giving you the experience explained in the speed guide, and the Out of Bundle rates set out in term 7.6 above shall apply.
      • 8.4. Upon signing up to Genius Plan, you will automatically lose any unused benefits that you were benefitting from your previous plan.
    • 9. How to benefit from one of the Genius Options:
      • 9.1. In order to benefit from one of the Genius Options, you need to Successfully sign up to the Genius Plan by using one of the methods described in term 8 above and successfully topping up your account with a credit equal to the Top Up Trigger of Option selected by you (refer to the Top Up Triggers listed in the term 7.3 above).
      • 9.2. The Genius Option benefits will be assigned once a successful top up is completed.
    • 10. How to unsubscribe from Genius Options:

      Unsubscribe Send an SMS with ‘STOPYES’ to 16200
      • 10.1. You may unsubscribe from Genius Plan at any time. Unsubscribing from the Genius Plan by sending the SMS text provided in this term, will automatically mean that you are opting-out of both the Genius Plan and the Genius Options. For the avoidance of any doubt, this is applicable for all Options. Upon successfully unsubscribing you will be placed on the Vodafone Base Plan subject to Vodafone Base Plan Terms and Conditions.
      • 10.2. Should you subscribe to another prepaid or post-paid plan whilst benefiting from one of the Genius Option any benefits provided with such Option will be forfeited as explained in term 7 above. Once opted in to the Genius Plan, you may switch between the Genius Options at any time depending on the top-up amount as explained in term 7.4 above and the benefits may remain valid as explained in term 7.4 above.
      • 10.3. If you, whilst being subscribed to the Genius Plan, decide to subscribe to any other prepaid plan offered by us or to any Top Up and Get plan or add-on bundle that is not compatible with the Genius Plan, you shall automatically stop benefiting from the Genius Plan and your Genius Option and any unused benefits of such Option shall be lost.
    • 11. Additional Add-On Bundles (‘Add-Ons’) available with Genius Options
      • 11.1. All charges deriving from any available Add-On bundles are inclusive of VAT but exclude any other additional tax.
    • 12. General Information on this Plan
      • 12.1. When you subscribe to this Plan, you are automatically accepting to adhere to these Specific Terms and Conditions.
      • 12.2.
